Title: Michigan’s doctors fight coronavirus, and governor's office
Post by: Lucifer on March 27, 2020, 05:37:22 AM
Pure politics in play here, and this governor is not the only one.  She's hiding behind regulations, because she realizes if this medicine works it will accelerate the end of the "crisis" and the leftist will lose their advantage.

Pure Evil.

But if you live in Michigan, and you or a loved one is infected with this potentially lethal disease, you’re out of luck.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs literally threatened all doctors and pharmacists in the state who prescribe or dispense hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.

The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding as production of this medication needs to be ramped up, the letter deviates into open threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.

The letter also instructs pharmacists to ignore physician orders for this medication. Due to the debate over a pharmacist’s right to refuse to fill medications that go against their religious beliefs, this could place pharmacists in the unprecedented position of being told that they must fill prescriptions that violate their “conscience (religious belief)” but must not fill prescriptions to treat COVID-19.

Even worse, the letter indicates health care providers are “required to report” their fellow physicians who are prescribing these medications. This draconian measure carries ominous Gestapo-like overtones of neighbor reporting neighbor to “authorities.”

That’s absolutely atrocious. That backs what my doctor told me yesterday. If I were to get sick with covid19 right now he would be unable to give me plaquenil even though I have taken it off label before and I would have been able to get it no problem just a few months ago. It’s possible the governor is acting in accordance with advice from the “team” headed by Pence or the CDC/NIAID.  Tons of plaquinel and chloroquine and azithromycin has been sent to New York, ostensibly to treat those that are hospitalized in serious condition. The government, according to my doctor, has taken control of the supply, essentially “nationalizing” it, so apparently even if local pharmacies have it on hand they are forbidden to dispense it and they’re being ordered to ship it to wherever the govt wants them to.

But the anecdotal use of it in Europe and elsewhere is, you give it to the patient EARLY and send them home it prevents them from ever getting sick enough to need hospitalization. This is the key to preventing the high numbers of hospitalizations that we fear will overwhelm the healthcare system.

If you keep the plaquenil in areas of low rates of infection, and promptly treat cases, you could prevent spread of the disease in those areas and get their economies back up. I’m not saying NOT to treat patients in densely populated high case rate areas or patients severely ill, I am saying there needs to be a balance of both. But right now it appears to me the government is funneling all the drugs to the big cities and limiting use to patients already severely ill.

I don’t know all this for fact, but it is what seems to be at this point.

Back when I was on plaquenil I stopped the drug and threw away my remaining supply, going against my normal inclination to hang on to old prescriptions. Kicking myself now.

Now there are things being spread about not using Ibuprofen. I've found several articles calling it crap.
