SMDH Idiots. That’s the least of our problems. In fact it may not be a problem at all, as global warming and an increase in carbon dioxide actually improves conditions for plant (ie food) growth. Anyway…
Surprisingly or maybe not surprisingly, China and the U.S. are aligned on this issue because we buy all the shit they make and they are a net importer of agricultural products, around a third of their food is imported according to my quick morning google-fu, and a majority of that is from the West i.e. U.S. and Canada’s vast grain fields.
Problems in the Suez Canal will badly hurt both our countries but China much more as they will literally starve while we will have hyperinflation due to rocketing fuel costs and supply chain disruption but we should be able to ramp up manufacturing to keep our harvesters running, while the Chinese will be scrambling to collect bugs to eat.
So maybe the U.S. and China need to jointly bomb Iran back into the Stone Age.

I don’t believe they do but they care a great deal about “face” and so don’t want the world to see them fail so badly their people are all starving - again. So they have named “food security” as one of their top priorities.

Right, it’s not a war, it’s just negotiating for better terms (what Trump does). We will still be buying cheap worthless Chinese crap for years or decades, with China benefiting from the U.S. Navy defending the high seas. China can’t do it, their navy isn’t very deep water. China and the rest of the world relies on the U.S. Navy to keep trade routes safe.

When I was stationed there in the early 70s every American fighter base in UK and W. Germany had tactical nukes (B61) and I believe there were 5-6 F4s loaded and on alert. Most of those bombs are stored in Turkey but there’s a new updated version of the B61.
