Spin Zone / Re: Betsy Ross Flag Is Racist
« on: September 16, 2016, 10:42:10 AM »
I found this article that may shed some light on the controversy

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/09/15/does-americas-first-flag-symbolize-exclusion-and-hate-like-this-mich-school-superintendent-said/?wpisrc=nl_mix&wpmm=1#comments
There is no controversy other than what people make up in their small racist heads.
The Trump flag was out of place and should not have been flown.

While the article lays out the foundation for impeachment, we do not have a legislative body willing to pursue such matters.

Example please!
The secret service never spoke to Trump regarding his comment on the 2nd amendment.  CNN made up the story and then other MSM outlets picked it up.  It was made up without ANY supporting evidence.  In other words, a lie.

Spin Zone / Re: Poll Analysis
« on: August 09, 2016, 05:58:32 AM »
At this point, any popular poll means shit. The only polls that will really mean anything, short of the actual vote, are state polls that give an indication as to where that state's electoral votes are going. I have yet to see a poll where Trump got higher than 191 electoral votes, and most show him at much less than that, consistent with the one above.
Most polls also showed him not earning enough in the primaries to get the GOP nomination, or at least prevent a contested convention.  I put little stock in anyone prophesying at this point.

I guess officially we're a mixed marriage as I'm Caucasian of European decent and my wife is Indian (Native American for the PC crowd) although I can't recall which tribe off the top of my head.   We live a happy life on our farm with horses, goats, ferrets, cats to keep the mice at bay, and therefore the snakes, a rabbit and dogs.  Our friends and neighbors are of all colors/backgrounds/sexual orientation of life.  We just don't bother with the pigment of one's skin or anything else but character.  Character is the driving force with whom we associate.  When a storm comes through we all pitch in to help recover from any damage that occurred.  We help each other mend fences and help round up the occasional horse or donkey that breaks through the fence row.  It's a good life.

We're pretty deep in hock.  Unless we want to send our bad paper to the next generation something has to give.
That assumes all spending is necessary and there is truly no surplus already being collected.  I don't agree with that premise.

I've learned that Jaybird has skin as tough as nails and appreciate his opinion even if we don't agree.

It's about time we hold those to whom we support accountable to their agreements.

At one point it was 23 consecutive words directly lifted from Obama's speech. There is literally a one in multiple trillions chance that it was coincidence. There is also the fact that they have admitted it. You are about a day behind.
You are correct on both points.  Work has prevented me from doing the normal research. No excuse but rather a reason.  Thanks for the update!

Spin Zone / Pat (Trish) Summitt dead at 64
« on: June 28, 2016, 06:51:32 AM »
RIP, Coach.

I'm a short white guy with no interest in basketball but my orange blood became a fan of Coach Summitt over her decades reign of one of the best basketball programs in the country.

There are two primary issues that I see: the establishment and Trump. The two are linked, no doubt, but I see Trump as a continuation of the problem, not the solution.
Your thought that government is the solution to anything tends to be troublesome.

Pretty sure WV also voted for the Bern in the Primary.
Yet the blue collar workers state (collectively, not individually) they will vote for Trump before Hilldog or the Bern.

My dog is in the middle of diabetic alert dog training and is doing exceptionally well.  Scheduled to graduate the last Saturday in June!  Will be good to have my Golden Retriever with me at all times.
