Spin Zone / Re: Betsy Ross Flag Is Racist

"A Michigan school district called the historic “Betsy Ross” flag a symbol of hate and profusely apologized after students displayed the flag at a recent high school football game.

“To wave a historical version of our flag, that to some symbolizes exclusion and hate, injects hostility and confusion to an event where no one intended to do so,” wrote Forest Hills Public Schools Superintendent Daniel Behm in a letter to parents."
The next thing the Superintendent should write is his letter of resignation for being such a stupid fucker.

Spin Zone / The PilotSpin Joke Thread
« on: September 06, 2016, 08:48:29 AM »
Thought I'd start one with a joke I read (and shamelessly ripping) from another forum

The Penguin Road Trip.. ..

A penguin is on a road-trip, driving across the USA. Somewhere in Arizona he notices that the car's oil-pressure light is on.

He gets out looking and sees oil dripping out of the motor, so drives slowly and carefully to the nearest town and stops at the first garage.

"I'll take a look," says the mechanic, "come back in an hour". So the penguin goes for a walk around town, feeling a little hot under the blazing sun. He soon sees an ice cream shop, and being a penguin in Arizona, decides that something cold would really hit the spot. He gets a big cone of vanilla ice cream and sits down under the shade of a tree to eat. But, having no opposable thumbs, he makes a real mess trying to eat the ice cream with his little flippers, and gets more of it around his mouth and down his chin than he manages to actually eat. After finishing his ice cream, he wanders back to the garage where he meets the mechanic, wiping his hands on an oily rag.

The mechanic looks over at the penguin and says, "It looks like you've blown a seal."

"Oh no, no, you're mistaken" the penguin replies, frantically wiping his mouth in embarrassment, "it's just ice cream."

Spin Zone / Re: Gun Ownership Rises to 44% Of All Homes

To the OP, my wife just purchased her first gun and will be taking her CCW in September.  We went to the range last weekend and I provided a safety class and shooting practice.  I gotta say, her aim is dead on (pun intended).

Get her one of those T shirts that say: "Relax and shoot like a girl... if you can"

I don't think the "no fly, no buy" idea is unconstitutional.  If there is a problem or a violation, it is with how we put people on the no-fly list to begin with, and with out we identify fliers as they board.  Perhaps we need a flyer's photo idea, but the libs would claim that is discriminatory.
I'm not sure how a no-fly list is constitutional to begin with, either. The idea that you can deprive someone of moving freely between the states without due process is frightening. Purchasing an airline ticket is a contractual obligation between the flyer and the airline. But now the government is stepping in and determining who can and cannot fly without actually accusing them of anything. It's all done under the guise of "safety and security". Not to mention it's a mystery how you end up on the list, who is on the list and how to get off the list if you're on it.

Actually, yes.  There are people in college safe spaces sitting around talking about white people (and race) all day.  Just like how there are people in Klan meetings sitting around talking about black people (and race) all day.
No we don't!

We did last year and critical thinking was non-existent.  Obviously this changes school by school and district by district but talking with others, as well as the school board, critical thinking isn't on their radar.

Spin Zone / Re: Self Defense
« on: August 17, 2016, 05:23:00 AM »
The good methods for self defense are the ones that work.

Everyone, even liberal, agree in the right to self defense.  What they want to do is limit the amount of force you can apply during self defense, very likely to the point of placing you at a disadvantage.  It is morally deficient of them to do this - if ANYONE is harmed because their ability to defend themselves was limited, the fault is on the liberals for limiting the means of defense.  It is immoral to insist that someone else defend themselves at a disadvantage, potentially resulting in their death.

I would extend this to the anti-gun hysteria which causes people not to carry guns or which causes people not to be proficient with guns.

We do not have a gun problem.  We have a violent people problem because people believe that violent behavior is acceptable.  Switzerland has a gun ownership rate much higher than the US, but their murder rate with guns is less than 1/3 ours.  It's not about gun ownership.

Hillary is only being kept in this to secure a Democrat in the White House, to continue the Soros/Obama Fundamental Transformation of America.

My prediction is that following a  Hillary win, she will soon become "debilitated"and Kaine will be sworn in. You heard it here first.

BTW, if I suddenly die with a pillow over my head or am shot dead in a "robbery" where nothing is taken from me, I was killed by Clinton's goons.

Hillary's functions are so tightly controlled, it is hard to believe he got there, behind the stage in full view of the audience and cameras, without someone arranging it or at least knowing about it.

When I was a kid, our local bank had a giant mural of Sacajawea leading Lewis and Clark west.  I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and wished I could be an Indian woman of such stature.

So today I was thinking of this thread everywhere I went, and discovered that, lo! I could devise and contort and create offensiveness in EVERYTHING I saw.

But when I stopped looking to find it, it vanished.
