1. Tuberculosis
2. Measles
3. Whooping Cough
4. Mumps
5. Scarlet Fever
6. Bubonic Plague

TB has been present in the US continuously for some time.  The problem is there are now antibiotic resistant strains that are near impossible to kill.
The only reason measles, whooping cough, and mumps outbreaks have occurred is because Americans are too stupid togged vaccinated.
Strep and Yersinia infections, the causative agents of scarlet fever and plague respectively, are easily treated with antibiotics.  I am unaware of antibiotic resistance in these organisms at present.

It is hardly surprising that refugees would bring in communicable diseases, given the privation in which they were living. We have the medical infrastructure to deal with these things though.  The fact that there are journalists who don't realize this is less than surprising.

Who pays for the vaccinations? The broader point is that we have people coming from all over the world bringing diseases into the country and we shouldn't be letting it happen. If they want to come into the country, they should get vaccinated prior to coming in. It also goes to show that we need to enforce existing immigration laws.
