A Chicago Sun-Times journalist decided to write an anti-gun hit piece about just how easy it is to buy an AR-15 rifle. But when the gun shop completed all of the required checks, he ended up writing a very different story.

Karma must be a bitch ;D

Rush mentioned this today.
-
I'm shocked that an anti-gun "journalist" would lie.
-
While the "journalist" will attempt to paint the gun store as not selling to him for simply being a "journalist", what you won't see from many other outlets is that the gun store was using their best judgement to ensure that firearms didn't end up in the wrong hands and for the wrong reasons. They were being responsible gun salesmen, as they should be. It's a shame the media won't report these kinds of stories, but then it doesn't get the same kinds of ratings. Good for the gun store.
-
OTOH,
Can this "ability" of gun stores to refuse business be construed as an outside (government) entity quietly disarming the populace?

No.

Another liberal/progressive criminal LIAR in the Hillary model.

If its so hard to buy an assault rifle how'd a loon who's been watched by the FBI (and with a history of domestic violence) get one?

Because he was never indicted or convicted of a crime.
Should a watch list, that you have no right to know you're on, and have no mechanism to remove yourself from if added in error, be sufficient cause to strip you of your civil rights?

Absolutely, so long as you have access to a reasonable and efficacious review process.

Due process is irrelevant when the government wants to infringe on your unalienable, natural rights.
And apparently all liberals are all for ignoring due process when it comes to the desire to "feel" secure.

That's not what I asked.
The No Fly list for example has no process to notify you that you've been added, and no process to remove yourself therefrom if you are added in error. Is inclusion on such a list sufficient to strip you of your civil rights?
As a direct example: If you were to be added to the No Fly list, should you lose your tenure?

Absolutely. No one should be around children if they are on the No Fly list.

Can you cite the authority the allows the government to remove due process without being convicted in a court?

Hillary Clinton! The next President of the United States. If the anti-Trump faction wins.

All in favor of allowing unelected officials in the executive branch of government decide if you should be on a list or not, raise your hand. ::)
