You know, anyone qualified should be able to throw their hat in the ring to run for Congress, right?
Well, this has popped up in my district:

What a fucktard.

I would be ashamed to have my name on a sign like that. Maybe it was put up by his opponent, dirty tricks.
Well, no.

The problem with Democracy is the electorate often winds up with the government they deserve.

Or about two thirds of them do. (The third that votes for the assholes and the third that doesn't vote).
And if you are part of the last third, what are your options. Our country is still better than most others, and most people here still speak English. I'm too old to learn another language, especially with my bad hearing.

Him for running or you for criticizing his lifestyle choices?

Making America white again is a lifestyle choice?

The one good thing about our form of democracy is despite its faults at the endow the day the folks running things have some degree of legitimacy. A majority voted for them. Beats just about anything else.

Without better control over vote fraud, that is not assured.

It's not one I'm going to choose, but yes, it is. I don't believe many will vote for him, but he is not doing anything illegal so it's his right to declare his beliefs, to be proud and secure in them. You cannot discriminate against him because of who it is, he wasn't in control of being created to be as he is.

To quote Louis Farrakhan on a comment made about Rudi Giuliani, this guy may be another "white privileged cracker". ;)

Are you being facetious?
Choosing to wear no-show socks or eat vegan is a lifestyle choice. Making America white again is not a lifestyle choice. And no one is arguing that he doesn't have the right to declare his beliefs and be proud of them, but he certainly is in control of who he is.

Democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried. - Winston Churchill

I am absolutely not being facetious, I'm being liberal, with a lower case "L". Or libertarian if you prefer. I'm promoting freedom.
if you want to argue the semantics of whether "lifestyle" is the correct word or not, I'm not interested.

Ok, then you're wrong. :)
While I will agree with you that he's doing nothing illegal, he is certainly in control of who he is, and I'm free to "discriminate" against him for his ridiculous views. I put that in quotation marks because considering him an idiot doesn't qualify as discrimination.
PS - Is hating Irish people a lifestyle choice?
