Title: Only 2 points short of being invited to the debates!

The left-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP) offered the hypothetical "Giant Meteor" option in its latest survey, where 43 percent picked Clinton, 38 percent picked Trump and 13 percent picked the Giant Meteor hitting earth. Another 7 percent were unsure.

That's pretty funny. While it's a joke, it says something that over 10% of the people would rather be destroyed by a meteor than see Clinton or Trump in the White House. If only that could translate to an actual third party candidate that was palatable to the majority.

Well, if SMOD is invited to, and attends, the debates, both parties are going to need to select new candidates pretty quickly.

I recall similar sentiments in the last election, the one before that, and the one before that.

Given the donald's negative numbers and the corrupt doormat's negative numbers, I don't believe you saw the same level of those sentiments in previous elections.

I don't know.  When Obama was running for his 2nd term I was much angrier than I am now.  I guess this time around I am just more resigned and numb.  Even though Clinton will continue all the things Obama did that I hate, the ship has already  come around.  Hillary will merely take it further in it's current direction.

I just don't think Trump will take us in Obama's direction as fast as Hillary.  And with Trump, perhaps I will die before we have to lower the American Flag for good.  With Hillary, I can see that happening sooner.

While some may have been predicting the demise of the US for the past several decades, I believe the, ahem, discontent is much worse now than any election for the past 40+ years.

I'd love to see how many of the survey participants have children.
