How do I stand to gain ?
-
Are you asking what you gain if a Republican gains the presidency? If so, then at least for this election cycle it's more about what you will keep rather than what you will gain. I'm no fan of Trump but I think he'd be better than Clinton. While his position on certain things like the First, Second and Fifth amendments are not where I think they need to be, he at least isn't calling for confiscation of weapons. He will likely nominate up to 4 SCOTUS justices which will be heavily influenced by the Republicans in the Senate (unless we get another Roberts, I think it'll be alright). You're more likely to have a fair and impartial Justice Department as well.
I'm not saying Trump will be the greatest president we've ever had, not by any stretch of the imagination. However he will at least slow down the hemorrhaging for the time being, assuming he listens to his advisors (and I think he'll have to if he's elected because then it becomes about re-election).

Gain? How about the Nation? Other than that,

That's an odd question. Are you looking to see who has the better give-a-ways?

IF the Republican nominee wins, and you own a bomb shelter, you'll have the privilege of having gained full usage of your bomb shelter.
:)

There are no longer any Republicans running for the Presidency in 2016

I will be interested to see if Hillary promises as many freebies as The Donald did in his acceptance speech.

You are SO full of shit.
IF, and that is a big IF, the Republican nominee wins, we shall see....
...Won't we?
;D

Diversity, and multi culturalism destroys societies. When we were strong as a country, immigrants aspired to be "AMERICAN". Now they want the economic handouts, but want to identify with the mother country, not America. It is destroying our society, culture, and society. All promoted by the DEMOCRATS, our government (more Democrats), the media, and education. More Democrat, far left loons.

no, diversity and multiculturalism is not, in and of itself, bad.
Problems occur when the "diversity" and "multi-culturalism" pushed by the extreme left denigrates who we are and fails to help people learn to live in this society.
As an example, consider food/diet. We don't need to make everyone eat "american" when here in the USA. Everyone has there own preferences, likes, and dislikes.
otoh - learning the "native" language helps everyone communicate. Legal immigrants that refuse to learn American English do themselves a disservice.
-
Diversity and multi-ethnic works. Multi-culturalism -- assuming that by culture we mean societal values, and not different cuisines, etc -- does not work. All Americans need to be on the same basic page supporting democracy, individual rights, and the rule of law.

True. Yet we need to be running from those principles at break neck speed.

This is really disappointing, especially coming from you. When I think about what makes our nation great, I come up with only one thing. It isn't the purple mountains or amber waves of grain. America isn' great because of the landscape, nor is it great because we span a continent in a temperate zone. Heck, Brazil does that.
America is great precisely because we've been the recipients of the best the world has to offer, and our government has been consistently unable to discriminate against anyone. It isn't easy to come here, either legally or illegally. Those who do so bring tremendous drive, which they pass on to their offspring though both upbringing and genes. We are truly greater than the sum of our parts.
You cannot interpret our history any other way. Americans don't need to be fearful of the world. And Americans don't need to look backwards for last glories. There are plenty yet to come.

Factually speaking, Brazil does neither of these. It does not span a continent, and is in a tropical, not temperate, zone.

It is the size of the United States, straddles most of South America and like the United States has both temperate and tropical areas.

However, it does not "span a continent" and is mostly tropical, not temperate. You were factually incorrect.
