Title: High-Caliber Roofing Company Giving Away Guns
Post by: Mase on August 03, 2016, 12:47:17 PM
Buy A Roof, Get A Gun (http://www.gopusa.com/?p=13287?omhide=true)

"CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – A roofing company in Castle Rock is offering a unique incentive to go through them to get your roof fixed.

WeatherProof Roofing has begun a “Get a Roof, Get a Gun” promotion.

Owner James Webb is giving out AR 15s to customers who choose services from WeatherProof Roofing.

“We are the only roofing company in the country that is offering this. We figured we’d take a stand on what we believe,” said Webb."

LOL.  That's great.  I used to live about 15 minutes north of Castle Rock.  I don't know that company though.  Colorado is not as anti gun as the media wants you to believe.

I'd be interested in seeing what kind of income growth he's seeing from this promotion. I'm pretty sure Colorado has a law that doesn't allow anything over 10 round magazines (one reason why Magpul left) though I don't think that'll have much effect on the promotion.

Carpet bagging New Yorkers in the CO legislature got a 15 round mag limit passed, but existing mags were grandfathered.  Since mags are not dated nor serial numbered the law is unenforceable.  The Governor, another liberal carpet bagger, but from the Philly, PA area (Narberth) signed it.

I knew it was around there. It's a terrible law and certainly unenforceable. Do you know if there's a provision in there about bringing in mags across state lines? California just passed a law that did just that for ammunition (and a whole lot more).

If you owned the mags prior to the date stated in the law, you can legally bring them into CO.  However, again, there is no way to know when the mags were purchased, so I am sure CO residents regularly get larger capacity mags very easily.  The law enforcement agencies for the most part have publicly said they will not enforce the law as it is impossible to do so.

It is my understanding that, post 1994, mags larger than 10 rounds are dated.  It had to do with the idiotic "Assault" Weapon Ban the Federal government imposed, which included the irrational ban on standard capacity mags.

Basically, pre-ban mags are undated.  It's how we in Taxachusetts know we have a legal "large" capacity mag.
