Which is more destructive to the Republic?
Obama has already caused a lot of problems. He needs to be reintroduced to the Magna Carta. It has been a simple principle that no one is above the law and everyone must abide by it. It endured for hundreds of years until Bill had oral sex with an intern and then so many people excused his lying because they liked him. And that precedent having been set, Obama and Hillary have now ridden ignoring the law to new lows. How much lower will Hillary take it?

I'm hoping that we won't find out.

There were remedies to stop Obama outside of SCOTUS that were available to Congress but they failed to act. They could have not given him the funding he wanted for anything, they could have censured him and if they believed it rose to the appropriate level, they could have introduced articles of impeachment against him. Instead they just rolled over and let him get away with whatever he wanted, hoping the courts alone would stop him.
You are correct that the precedent has been set and that Hillary will just take it even further. The problem for the democrats is that the next time a republican is elected president, they could just as easily do the same thing. The democrats are more likely to try and stop that, though.
