Detonate H-bombs along San Andreas Fault and slide Kalifornication into the Pacific.

There has to be a better solution. I like their avocados.

Wisconsin is number 27!! Woo hoo!
And I think our ranking is driven by our drinking, as any Oshkosh visitor can attest:
"Wisconsin is the best state for alcohol freedom, with no state role in distribution, no keg registration, low taxes (especially on beer—imagine that), no blue laws, legal happy hours, legal direct wine shipment, and both wine and spirits in grocery stores."

I knew there was something I missed about Wisconsin. Oh, cheese too.

And sausages. Don't forget sausages. I had the best sausages in my life at Milwaukee Brat House a few weeks ago!!
PS. Florida is #8. I guess old people don't need that much regulating.

Used to live in #'s 49 and 50, and now live in #6. I feel much better now.
-
Sixth is pretty good, I'll take that as we try to move even higher.

Yeah, but -3. The wine in grocery stores should help us next year.
I just wish they would stop making it illegal to give my daughter a glass of wine with dinner. The more you make alcohol "forbidden fruit" the more likely kids will abuse it. Make it a routine and normal part of social situations, and it's no big deal. And what I do in my own home is none of the State's business.

Agree. It will be interesting to see what tonight's Metro Nashville Council vote is on reducing marijuana fines for less than 1/2 ounce in possession. The current bill reduces it to a civil fine of $50. That's a good start in the right direction as any personal freedom is a positive move.

Agreed completely. We did that with our daughter, and so college drinking was not the novelty that it was to some of her classmates.

Higher the number the better???

My state sux at #46
Did I miss the vote on this?
"Maryland raised its travel freedom score by allowing illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses in 2013–14"

We will replant the avocados in the desert once it becomes the new lush land I saw this on the original Superman movie.

How's Saturday? Just fixed my jet ski (again), too. Guacamole and jet skiing, sweet. 8)

I'm surprised at some of the state's rankings; I figured a few of them would be higher than they are. Arizona is still pretty high up though Texas is a lot lower than I thought. Both are still better than California, New York and Illinois though I'm not surprised.
