Title: College Campus Lunacy

Hampshire College will offer some of its students what the school euphemistically calls “identity-based housing.” That’s segregated housing for students who — because of their race, culture, gender or sexual orientation — have “historically experienced oppression.” I’d bet the rent money that Hampshire College will not offer Jewish, Irish, Polish, Chinese or Catholic students segregated housing. Because there is no group of people who have not faced oppression, Hampshire College is guilty of religious and ethnic discrimination in its housing segregation policy.

University of Connecticut administrators think that more black men will graduate if they spend more time together. According to Campus Reform, they are building a new residence hall to facilitate just that. Dr. Erik Hines, the faculty director for the program, said that the learning community “is a space for African-American men to … come together and validate their experiences that they may have on campus. … It’s also a space where they can have conversation and also talk with individuals who come from the same background who share the same experience.” By the way, Hampshire College and the University of Connecticut are not alone in promoting racially segregated student housing."

Our nation has taken the same road of calling a lie the truth that led to the USSR and Communist China.
Congratulations democrats.
You built another totalitarian, fascist, state...
and you're too stupid to see the obvious.

Well, isn't that special.

It's unusual that a later Supreme Court decision like Brown v. Board of education would be overturned by the prior case of which IT overturned.

I guess it's a Plessy v. Ferguson world once again.

You know, "Separate but Equal."

There's already places where like minded individuals can live together at most colleges/universities, they're called fraternities/sororities.

Maybe this will start a trend:

University to Freshmen: Don’t Expect Safe Spaces or Trigger Warnings

"WE DO NOT SUPPORT SO-CALLED 'TRIGGER WARNINGS,’ WE DO NOT CANCEL INVITED SPEAKERS BECAUSE THEIR TOPICS MIGHT PROVE CONTROVERSIAL, AND WE DO NOT CONDONE THE CREATION OF INTELLECTUAL ‘SAFE SPACES.'"

The link didn't work for me.  Even when I searched for some of the words, the google results didn't work.

But this link doesn't seem to have been pulled yet:

More idiocy:

"The State University of New York at Binghamton (SUNY-Binghamton) is offering a training class titled “StopWhitePeople2k16,” to instruct residential assistants (RAs) on how to deal with “uneducated” people who don’t believe in ideas like white privilege.

The class is just one of several available to RAs at the school, and was discovered by the Binghamton Review, a student newspaper. Residential assistants are students who agree to assist with overseeing and monitoring residential life in return for receiving a free room from the school. Apparently, though, Binghamton RAs also have the responsibility of “stopping” white people."

This is segregation.

Isn't segregation illegal?  Separate is inherently unequal?

I saw that today and was actually surprised that this came from a university such as this. I'm glad to see it and I hope they don't succumb to pressure by student or outside groups demanding that they establish safe spaces. More universities need to be like this.

Eventually, when even speech that is "approved" becomes "unapproved" it will be fun to watch groups that were once on the "same side" now fight against each other.
