The Clinton News Network doing their work as Hillary's Communication Dept:

He did a nice job. I may have spoke to soon, but the Democrat machine including fraud, the FSA (Free Sh*t Army) illegals, etc are going to be hard to beat.
-
The longer this damnable campaign goes on, the more amazed I am to find normal people tuning out the liberal machine.
-
One can only hope that more and more people will begin to see the Dems' lies and dysfunction and vote farming. Once you realize that you are an enabler of an elite, and the whole elite class you are supposed to despise, the bile must at least begin to rise a little.
Even Sanders has three houses.
How about HRC calling M. Obama her "good friend." Trump was on that one immediately. I wish he had been as fast to point out that her condemnation of violence at his rallies was amusing, since it is liberals who are instigating it.
It was cathartic to hear Trump articulate (!) a good portion of HRC's failings on national television. I have no illusions about HRC losing, but a breach in the media wall has been made this year, and perhaps it will widen.

Just think what would have happened if the republicans had nominated someone with better favorable ratings...(I know, that doesn't narrow the field any)

Ah, to dream. Now I have to vote for someone that OTHER people brought to the nomination, but it's my duty to do so.

I would have liked to see Scott Walker, but I guess he wasn't "charismatic" enough. To me that's just sizzle. I want the steak. Cruz, even though I voted for him, disappointed me later.

Conversely, I think what would have happened if the Democrats had nominated someone other than Clinton. Trump would be toast.

Biden, say? He could have actually been ruder and cruder than Trump, which would have made for interesting debates.
Betting odds, though, still say Trump IS toast.

I don't know though, every once in a while the people get it right and I think it will happen on this cycle. For Trump to win he has to do it by at least 2% of the vote, if it is too close the democrats will steal if from him for Clinton as they did for Al Franken.

I just read in "Freakonomics" that it's not money that wins an election, it's appeal. People think the candidate that gets the most donation support wins, and there may be a correlation, but it's not the cause. Actually it's the candidate with the most "appeal". Well, if that is true, I'm hoping Donald has more appeal than Hillary. As despicable as he can be, he is at least entertaining. Hillary comes off as an ice queen.
On the other hand, there are two things that really worry me. First, the groundwork was set for this sex scandal to hurt Donald. It didn't hurt Bill Clinton because that was years ago, before the onset of the current climate of paradoxical Victorianism. In today's world of filthy sexual content everywhere you look, the idea that actual men want actual sex is now condemned. Young first time voters know no different. Females in the 18 to twenty-something year old category, have actually bought the idea that males should respect a "bubble" around them, never to cop a feel, and men should see women wear the skimpiest most skin tight revealing clothing without so much as having a sexual thought. Girls today actually think this way. They are beyond clueless. And young males buy it hook line and sinker. Because young males want young females, and they will believe anything they think the young females want them to. So you have a whole generation of first time voters who are shocked, shocked I tell you! at the Donald tape. I'm not sure Trump can survive this. I think a lot of young voters were considering Trump because they're not so naive as to have completely missed how Hillary is now the entrenched corrupt "establishment" and may have gone to Trump for being an outsider. But they're SO brainwashed about sex - they are the generation raised on "pedobear" hysteria - that this tape has leveraged it to the max, I fear that generation is hopelessly lost. I still feel they dislike Clinton but now may go third party instead. Which incidentally, will be Jill Stein because they're just as brainwashed about climate change being the country's biggest problem.
The second thing is I believe the corrupt Democrat party and Hillary and her cronies will do ANYTHING at this point to hold onto power and we have seen nothing yet. They are going to sink so low, I would not be surprised if they get a woman to flat out make up a rape story about Donald. Or maybe try to get him assassinated. At the very least there will be massive voter fraud. Worst case scenario, they'll cook up a reason for Obama to declare martial law and suspend elections. I don't want to be too tin foil hat conspiracy theory about it, but I just have a feeling about this. The leftists have been on a long journey from outside to inside, climbing the ladder of power in the U.S. and now that they've attained it, they're not going to let their grip slip for anything.
So I'm feeling pessimistic right now that Trump, or any non-leftist, will ever again preside over our country.

Young people traditionally do not turn out to vote. They just don't care enough yet.
-
Ah, to dream. Now I have to vote for someone that OTHER people brought to the nomination, but it's my duty to do so.
Sort of like we all have to call Obama "Our President" even though you and I did not vote for him. Just think, if it weren't for term limits, you can bet he would be on a roll for 4 more years.
So tell me again (not necessarily you Stan), what is wrong with term limits? I used to be of the opinion that term limits was rightfully enforced at the ballot box. That does NOT work as it should.
-

Possible, if enough voters cast their vote for him.

Why isn't it working as it should? Is there a reason that you, I, or anyone else should NOT have the right to vote for someone we support. I may not care for Senator McConnell, but he is not my Senator and the voters in Kentucky have every right to re-elect him if they choose.

The power of incumbency is awesome. Name recognition alone will garner a huge number of votes. Franking privileges should be a crime, but is is SOP. The ability for an incumbent to offer large donors hugely favorable consideration is breathtaking.
And I personally do NOT LIKE career politicians who spend more time fund raising than they do legislating and studying the issues.

With a minor change, we would be in complete agreement!! However, the tremendous need for campaign financing is separate issue from the ability of a voter to vote for who he/she wishes.

I've been a huge advocate for Congressional and Judicial term limits via an Article V Convention of the States.

I was previously against this, but have come to the same conclusion, that term limits for every elective office is necessary.
The other issue which is much harder to solve is the hundreds of thousands of appointed/hired unelected apparatchiks and policy wonks, they are the real danger and much, much harder to root out.

Media organizations that are to be counted and named later?

And Obama has packed all the departments with these career sycophants who will be next to impossible to root out or change.

"O'Reilly said he's "100 percent convinced" of the media plot against Trump. ". Well if O'Reilly is convinced, guess we all should get on the bandwagon. Of course, O"Reilly offers no facts or even an argument as to why this is true.

Just look at all the mainstream media outlets that ignore Hillary's scandals like the emails which she has actually DONE, and then promote Trump's video for what he SAID, constantly 24/7.

I watched ABC news last night, it couldn't be any more blatantly obvious as to media bias. A large portion of the newscast spent on the Trump recording[1], and on making Trump look bad. Nothing on the Hillary emails, and everything to look like Hillary takes the high road. The American public is being railroaded, and it's never been more obvious than this election cycle how badly the fix is in.
America was a fine experiment, but it's been corrupted, money talks, bullshit walks, and we the people are fucked.
[1] And anyone who has ever been a boy in a locker room knows exactly what this recording was, an insecure guy talking shit to try and impress the TV guy. Nothing more, nothing less. All bark, no bite.
-
Remember during the debate when Hillary quoted Michelle, "if they go low we go high" and then proceeded to tear into Trump. The first question out of the box Sunday was about the audio tape. Trump gave his explanation and got his 2 minutes. They then turned to Hillary to allow her to respond and gave her an uninterrupted 2:49. You can't get any more biased than that.
-

It won't matter, politicians who do nothing, or worse do opposite what they say they will do are a symptom not the cause of our problems. People who vote based on sound bites or a letter next to the name are the problem and they won't go away. People need to take note of what a pol promises, then how they act while elected and finally, most importantly, the result of their actions and vote accordingly. Until people become truly aware of what is going on this madness will continue.

For the debate as a whole, both candidates spoke for roughly equal amounts of time. Is that indicative of bias?

How many times did the moderators argue with Hillary? If you set the limit at 2 minutes and then let Hillary go for nearly 2 minutes without interruption about the most important issue at the time, that is bias.

It's not the amount of time it is the moderator treatment. The one Mod (Martha Raddatz) essentially started debating Trump one on one and challenging him regarding the M.E. They didn't do that to Hillary.

Are you suggesting that time is the only bias indicator?

Agreed! Finally, someone else who has BTDT.
In my experience, the guys that talked the most did the least.
I'm not saying Trump is a Boy Scout; I'm saying that he probably struck out more than he'd like to think.

It will matter inasmuch as the concrete will continue to be mixed, and won't set around the feet of politicians so entrenched that they effectively abandon their home district and have their main home in Georgetown or Loudoun County, enriching themselves at our expense.
Say what you will about Paul Ryan, who's on my shit list right now, but he still sleeps in his office, and commutes home on a very regular basis.
-
Are you suggesting that time is the only bias indicator?
Not at all (but I think you knew that!). It is only one of a number of indicators. In a debate, particularly in the "town hall setting", conversations can easily go off on tangents. The candidates came with the message they want to present, which can be very different then the questions asked. The moderators have the unenviable job of keeping the discussion on track, getting the question answered and moving along, while trying to give both candidates equal time.
-

How come? Rep. Ryan has always struck me as a pretty intelligent, hard working, practical guy. Has a next to impossible job, but gives it his best effort.

Yep, he gave his best effort in giving Obama everything he wanted in his budget.

Paul Ryan is beholden to his donors, which comprise 85% of his campaign donations from inside the DC beltway.
Had Ryan spent as much time and energy keeping Obama in check as he has been trying to defeat Trump, things may look a bit different right now.

My state doesn't have prez ads, yay, but I just saw one on DJT's Twitter feed that features the video of HRC's 9/11 collapse. Are any of you seeing it on TV? Shows the coughing and being helped up steps, too.

Was just wondering if that ad is getting on TV yugely. ;)
Because I want a president who works hard for the country, not one who spends hours every day trying to stay upright, and hiding. >:(

If elected, Hillary will run the White House from inside the private quarters. Only select aids and advisors will be allowed in to see her. The WH press secretary will give out stories of how vigorous President Hillary is, how she goes to Camp David and works out daily and plays 18 holes of golf, and of course plays a perfect game each time.
ABC, CBS, NBC, MSDNC and CNN will run story after story, using stock footage of Hillary and keep reminding everyone what a great job she is doing.
Donald Trump will be arrested for tax fraud. Sean Hannity will be found in Central Park with a single gun shot to the head. Bill O'Reilly will be declared mentally unstable, placed in a mental asylum and replaced with Megyn Kelly.
Oh, and the NRA will be declared a terrorist organization.
Stay tuned.

Just waiting for the sexual assault ad's against DJT to appear - I bet if someone followed you with a camera for a few days, they could edit together an ad like the one above, just really sad that it's come down to this level.
Personally the best one for me was HRC ad using DJT's own words, with the kids sitting in front of the TV - classic gold !!

When's moderate shills for a communist you know that they are Both lying.
