Good idea, and thanks for starting the thread.
But, SOME polls close in an hour. And the initial results will say "with 2% of the vote in, . . .".
It will probably be 10:00 or later at best before we start seeing any meaningful results. And as far as I can tell, the one that really matters is Florida. If trump loses Florida, the night is essentially over (barring a miracle). If Trump wins Florida, then the anxiety continues.

Good catch; I edited the original post.

Not really.

Fox just fucked up by flashing a screen of a bunch of states being called for Clinton........and those polls haven't even closed.
-
Initial reports coming in that two big counties in Florida will go for Hillary and in turn, so will the state. If that's the case, this may in fact be an early night.

I didn't see that, any big ones that could affect western states?

It was east coast plus Midwest. They are ignoring it, but they obviously have their minds made up before the results are in.

The panhandle isn't in yet. And it's primarily red. Right now they are within 3 points in Florida.

Early results show Hillsborough County (home of Tampa and just east of my county) up 10 for Clinton.

With 75% in for Florida, it's separated by 1%. And the remaining counties are all red (panhandle)

Trump just jumped into the lead in FL.

Remaining 3 counties republican. Gonna be close.

It's going to be close. It keeps going back and forth depending on which counties are reporting.

Last two are republican counties.

We do not need a repeat of 2000.
-
The fact that several battleground states were not immediately called surprises me and would actually seem to be good for Trump.
I mean OH, PA, NH, NC not called yet, and FL looking like it may go red?
Still not expecting a win but surprised so far.

Trump is up by at least 150,000 votes in Florida and approximately 100,000 in North Carolina. Pan handle counties and Broward County in Florida still being counted. Hillary's lead in New Hampshire is shrinking as more counties report in. I still think Ohio will go Trump. Pennsylvania is anybody's guess right now.
-
I think the fact that it took them this long to call Virginia for Clinton is a good thing for Trump. He kept it close there for a while.
-
Trump has now won Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. If he wins Michigan and keeps Utah, Arizona and Nevada, he wins. In fact he can lose Nevada and still win with Michigan.
-
Guy on Local FOX channel says FL goes to Trump, he says no way Clinton can catch him.
-
So Brit Hume has now got 538, John Stossell's betting amalgamator, the NYT and the Dow futures all pointing to a Trump win, with a tweet from Hillary using the words 'whatever happens tonight'...
This is an interesting night, no other way to say it.

New York Times has Trump at a 91% chance he wins the presidency. There's a lot still to go. Trump still has several states he has to win, including Arizona and Utah. He can lose Nevada but he'll need New Hampshire and/or Michigan to make up for it.

BTW, local guy is Matt Towery.

People are focusing on Michigan right now, but Wisconsin is just as much of a problem for Clinton. She’s trailing there by a slightly wider margin and more of the vote is counted.

PA hasn't delivered for Trump. Obama was there Monday night, SEPTA strike suddenly ended (just a coincidence), Philadelphia is lousy with communists. Only three counties went to Clinton. Idiots in Bucks County (traditionally R) apparently went to Clinton (or voting machines had a "glitch").
It's now an official BLUE state.

This would require Trump to win Michigan, New Hampshire, ME-2, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Iowa and Wisconsin. It seems like that'd be hard to do but the rules have gone out the window at this point.

Big argument and whining on ABC among commentators that Trump's rallies were violent and people are scared of a Trump presidency. What does all this violence blah blah say about these voters!
Honey, HRC sent people to incite violence so she could delude you.
Saw Chris Mathews say that people lied to pollsters to create distrust of the media!
These people are beyond mentally ill.

Now they're yammering about "Does what we're seeing tonight reflect pushback against a woman president?"
No, just against THAT woman.
The media is in babbling meltdown. I hate them.

Not sure why GA hasn't been called yet. Isakson has held his Senate seat by a large margin.

WI also told Feingold NO.

I am in shock out here in the sticks of Florida.
Just shocked.
PLEASE tell me what you think Hilary does tomorrow morning????
Does she go quietly and never be heard from again?
Does she start running for 2020 as soon as it's practicable?
Does she start suing like Al Gore in 2000?
Will anyone much care if she actually loses tonight?

I think she concedes and will not run again for President. DNC put up a shit candidate (and screwed over Bernie in the process), and they are paying the price. This is the bright spot for a Liberal like me even in the face of a GOP win. It may send a message: Wake the fuck up, DNC!
PS - And please let me not hear, at least for a long while, you guys blabber about how vote fraud guarantees a Democrat win. ;)

No it won't. If Trump wins, it will be because he won, and as usual, vote fraud will be insignificant and not a factor.

Very likely Trump - Maine 1, Alaska and Arizona, all predicted Trump and all trending that way strongly. These 4 put him at 270.

Just 10:30 for us west-coasters. Not a lot to say, I suppose. If Trump does win, I sure hope he is kept on a leash by the Senate and House. Looks like a high probability at the moment that both chambers stay Republican. But then, those are the predictions of the pollsters who seem to have predicted wrong so far.

AP just called Pennsylvania for Trump giving him the necessary electoral votes to win the presidency.
We have a new president-elect: Donald J. Trump.

I hope she didn't make too many promises, that she now can't keep, to those countries that donated to the foundation.

No. I want to hear more about them. I want to hear that they get convicted on a dozen different counts of fraud. I want to hear about them getting hit with endangering and disclosing national security data. I want to hear her screech "right wing conspiracy" one more time. And I want Chelsea to refund the foundation for the costs of her wedding.

We are a nation of laws. It not only sets a terrible precedent but it sends the wrong message. It says that if you are among the "elite" in this country you can get away with felonies and it's alright. As I said in another thread, Trump can stay out of it by allowing Congress and a new Attorney General and Justice Department handle it.
-
Once the corrupt comedian, Comey is gone, and Loretta Lynch with him, maybe we can rebuild trust in our law enforcement apparatus. Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, James Comey, Valerie Jarrett and Huma Abedin have to be indicted. Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama and a score of others need to feel like the noose is tightening around them for their crimes.
-
Congratulations to the President-elect. Certainly not my choice, but so be it. Won it in a squeaker, still haven't seen the final popular vote numbers, but looks like Clinton may have won that part (not that it matters).
So... now that all the campaign rhetoric is (hopefully) over it will be interesting to see what the President-elect's actions are. With the Republicans firmly in control, will this turn into a vendetta, or will we truly solve some of the many serious problems we have have?
-

I'm just guessing Gary, but I had you pegged as a Gary Johnson supported, but I may be wrong. I think Trump is our only hope to make the rule of law, and the Constitution matter. In addition, our national sovereignty may be maintained when the borders are closed to ILLEGAL aliens, but not legal immigrants.

I agree, however do not mistake trying to correct the mistakes of President Obama as this turning into a vendetta. In his first 100 days he should move to repeal and replace Obamacare. That means putting into place a solid plan that will actually work and drive down premiums, among other things. That does not constitute a vendetta, which is what we'll all hear from the opposition

No, I do not believe I am confusing a vendetta with correcting mistakes (or making improvements). On the issue of health care, I do not believe it is a right (as guaranteed by the Constitution), but do believe it is something that is very important to the success of our society. Health care (not to be confused with health insurance) was getting expensive and complicated well before Obama. There is no way to decrease the costs of health insurance without decreasing the costs of health care. If indeed the President-elect is going to dismantle Obamacare, there does need to be a replacement that decreases actual health care costs. If something out there exists to truly and substantially lower costs and doesn't just shift the costs, that's great, haven't seen it yet.

If it were the other way around, would the Dems be so magnanimous? Like Obama and the supermajority Congress in 2009? LMAO... elections have consequences...
Dunno... they didn't win. As far as 2009, it's all about votes, the Dems had them, the Reps didn't. Elections DO have consequences, now that the Reps have the control, we will see how they handle it.

But but but she won the popular vote! Time to get rid of the antique Electoral College we have the internets now! :o

We must not do away with the Electoral College. It is a brilliant means of assuring the people a fair voice.

There are good arguments on both sides of this issue. One of my best conservative friends thinks we should do away with it.
However, I think it evens the playing field between states with large cities and less populous states. Also, if the elections were by direct popular vote, and the vote tally was close, a recount would entail recounting ALL votes in EVERY state, not just a state here or there where the tally was close. A real nightmare.

It is and I don't see it going anyway anytime soon. If it went to a straight popular vote then there would be no point in most states even voting. States like California and New York would carry the Democrats to victory every time.

Absolutely. As it is now, anyone outside of a major city has virtually no representation.

Yet Trump won on his strength outside of urban areas.

Which is why the liberals snowflakes and their handlers in the media are whining up a storm. It wasn't supposed happen that way and now they want to blow up the system so it can't happen again.

But, as you know that is VERY, VERY rare, and maybe a once in a life time happening. It was a HUGE anomaly. :) The populace outside of metro areas just got fed up with the direction the Dems were taking the country.

Actually Michigan has 16 . It is currently 290 -228. If Trump gets Michigan and Clinton gets New Hampshire it will be 306 - 232.
