Newsflash: The world is (mosty) round, the sun comes up (mostly) in the east, and people who can't pay their bills, have lousy credit, and are looking for a handout vote democrat.

I live 200 miles from the nearest urban area. Trump voters nearby known to me, based on discussions with them:

Neighbor who is a doctor
Neighbor who is a policeman
Neighbor who is a contractor and builds homes in my neighborhood
Relative who is a massage therapist
My mom who oversees her leased Concord grape vineyard
Mom's lessee, who farms her vineyard and several of his own
My brother (retired machinist) and sister-in-law (an accountant)
My aunt (retired bank manager)
My husband and his software engineer work group (six guys) plus a QA engineer
Friend who is a tech editor

I do think the people have spoken, and they echo the sentiment, "Spread my work ethic, not my wealth."

The hardest thing for democrats to accept is that their party has become a freak show.
As a party they worship ignorance, racism, segregation, sexism, violence and stealing.
Eventually the people stopped listening to the lying, cheating, thieves running the party and turned away when they saw that the best the party could do was cheat the voters and nominate a fucking pig.
To assuage their 'feeling' they have to project their loss onto everything and anything that they can find.
First it's racist white southerners.
Then it's ignorant republicans.
Then it was ignorant, stupid rural voters.
Now it's the fault of the electoral college.
Why is it so hard for democrats to accept blame?
Because they lie to themselves even worse than they lie to us.
Now that they lost, they think they are entitled to win anyway, because they're so special and the threats, racist attacks and violence begins.

The only true thing I've seen you write.

Though the freak show started with the induction of the PC culture of the 1990's.

Thank you, I agree somewhat.  However, I think it started in the 1960's with the Baby Boomers, and the anti Vietnam War movement, Earth Day, and the rise of feminism, which used to be called women's lib.  We have faced over 50 years of the march to Communism, a singularly progressive media, punctuated by Obama.

I live in what now is a suburb of a major city.  It used to be rural when I bought my home here.  A few years later, my company moved me to Denver, CO, where I spent several years, and then they moved me around the country for a while, so I have seen a lot.  I kept my home, and rented it out for almost ten years.  When I came back, I didn't recognize the area.  Major urban sprawl.  When I left it was solid Republican, when I came back the Democrats were the majority.

Why is it that Democrats cannot own up to anything.  Might it have been different had they addressed the substance of the leaked emails rather than pivoting immediately to "those fucking Russians" every time they were asked?

"Control the narrative".  For so long they have controlled the media and education that they feel they can make up anything they want and feed it to the useful idiots as fact.

Oh, it was caused by a YouTube video, right?  "We'll get that pesky video maker if it's the last thing we do!"  Hillary to the Mother of one of the Benghazi victims.
