that he would have won a 3rd term against the Donald.
"I am confident in the vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it"
ok, let's say that obama is correct, an inevitable conclusion is that hillary wasn't able to articulate anything. In a very real way, obama highlighted how bad the DNC candidate was.

You know, I have a feeling he might be right.
-
He's correct.

Thank God for term limits. We should have them in the House and Senate too.
-
Then why was he not able to articulate the message well enough to get some Ds in the house and senate?

I think it has less to do with his message and more to do with his being black.

Actually, they might be a bad idea. Where will the leadership come from for all the new people occupying those posts? No doubt special interests would be happy to show the way.

Yeah, that's the only reason I didn't like him. ::)

And how would that be worse? The incumbents are already indebted to the special interests, and every day they are in power, they become more indebted and less idealistic.
Everywhere I have seen term limits implemented, they have worked well, from our City Commission to our County Council and the Presidency. Everywhere we don't have term limits, we have a bunch of ensconced, crooked, self serving career politicians.

That isn't what I meant Joe, but I do think his being black was a large reason for his popularity. And it was also a weapon used to shut people up by accusing those who didn't like him of being racist.

I thought you were channeling Biden for a moment, there.

But,but didn't Obama tell us that Hillary was better than he and Bill?

not in 2012.

Are you asking who will whip the party members if you can only have two terms in the body?
Why is leadership needed to make laws in a democratic body? You have a speaker and a president to run the sessions. Beyond that you follow the rules agreed to on how to conduct the business.
I think there would be a great improvement if (on average) half of Congress was not re-electable. There would be more thoughtful voting and less falling in line with the party whip that you owned your soul to because they will get you elected next time.
