Funny how they preach tolerance, unless you don't see things the same way they do.
UC Berkeley cancels Milo Yiannopoulos event amid violent protest

Tolerance, peace, love, and diversity. Where's the safe space for the conservatives?
-
Milo defies convention and is, for folks of a particular political persuasion, seen as a terrifying existential threat - he is fearless, articulate and goes for the jugular - he is quick on his feet and can engage in feeform as well as in prepared remarks.
Given Trump's support of the LGBTQ cause, Milo should stop calling the Donald 'Daddy' and join the administration as an outreach ambassador and take away that identify-politics constituency and maybe even help them see they are far more than their gender preference.
I've said it before, I love Milo as an entertaining and capable communicator and would love to see him in an official capacity even though I totally disagree with his life choices.

Typical progressive assholes.
Proclaiming that Love trumps Hate while BURNING down their campus.
Without hypocrisy the left would have zero values.
-
I love that they call him a racist, sexist, HOMOPHOBE, and he is OPENLY GAY!!!
-
Thes fucking animals should have been managed with fire hoses and a jail wagon.
Refusing to put these riots down is a crime in itself and there people who refused to allow these pathetic thugs to be arrested should be charged with appropriate felonies.
-
I love that they call him a racist, sexist, HOMOPHOBE, and he is OPENLY GAY!!!
He dates blacks exclusively. That is what makes him racist.
I cannot believe this conversation is even being had. ::)
I do see where Trump is threatening to take away the college's federal funding if they don't stop suppressing free speech and start protecting innocent people.
To the left, a difference of opinion is an existential threat, apparently.

To the left, a difference of opinion is an existential threat, apparently.
I heard an interview with Milo last night. He said the LEFT does not want debate as they know their arguments will crumble as they do not have the facts on their side. So, what do they do? Name call, and shout you down, then not ALLOW you to speak, nor express your views. I totally agree.
-
To the left, the truth is whatever their masters tell them to believe.. TODAY.
Steingar is an excellent example. How often he twists the facts so brutally that they don't even begin to reflect the actual truth.
Typically it is something his peers (the triple digit IQ set of liars, lunatics and layabouts) said that he adopted because it sounded cool but makes zero sense in the real world.
Colleges have become the new hot bed of fascism and totalitarianism. Either conform or die is the new motto in public education and they really mean DIE. The new tolerance is arson, brutal assault using everything from traffic barricades to garbage cans and spewed hatred so vile that the lefties refuse to discuss it for fear of having to admit the obvious.
The new democrat has become the old intolerant, hateful, vile, racist, ignorant class of refuse that their party was when they invented the KKK, passed the Russell Amendment and sent out the state police to keep a young black girl from attending class.
Now they burn down cities, murder and assault anyone that happens to be near at hand, scream about love and tolerance while destroying everything their parents worked to provide and still the elected democrats lie and protect them.

I can't wait until technology makes brick, and mortar universities OBSOLETE.
-
News this morning has been that the protest was fairly peaceful until an Anarchist group showed up. I wonder if the Anarchist group was Soros funded.

I wouldn't be surprised, but Law Enforcement and Campus Security should have quelled the violence, and destruction. There are no LEO's in the videos. They just let them riot, and destroy.
-
Excellent, excellent interview, Tucker Carlson talks with Milo about free speech after the Berkeley debacle.
Milo says hundreds on the left are seeing the suppression of free speech on their kids' campuses and at their own alma maters, and are emailing him, stating they are horrified at their party's craziness, and are stopping their contributions to the schools and stopping admitting their kids to these schools that stifle free speech. One college had to close two dorms when donations stopped and enrollment dropped.
He says these violently protesting kids have been inoculated by the left all their young lives with the belief that all they need to do in a disagreement is name call and shout down, that they have never learned how to argue.
He does have some hope, but the ugliness will not go away easily.

An here is CNN's take.
Milo Yiannopoulos is trying to convince colleges that hate speech is cool

Well, they would have the charity scam thing in common.

When I saw this, the first thing I thought about was Alabama in the 1960s and how just a few men, including Governor Wallace kept two black students out of the university until the president federalized the National Guard. Both situations are about a small group trying to enforce their bigotry to prevent individuals from have equal rights.
-
Milo's event would have been a crowd of 500 or so in an auditorium, but because of the rioters, he had an audience of 4 million on TV.
Students at Berkley are upset because the thugs were brought in.
Why can't these riot funders and organizers be jailed? Some serious property damage there.

George Soros. Has his fingerprints all over it.
I think these violent, destructive riots are funded by Soros, or some other anti American, far left group of moneyed interests. With only a small group of people, they can influence, and insight the larger mob, and turn them violent. I think that is what happened at Berkley.

I'd imagine Nancy Pelosi thinks these are warriors FOR the first amendment. She is as delusional as the academic left when it comes to anything remotely resembling totalitarian communism.

She's not delusional. It's exactly what she wants.

Nancy Pelosi is an old hag, TART.
-
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer represent the Alt Left Radical base of their party, much like their departed hero Obama. They could give a shit less about moderate democrats or conservative democrats as they only want to appease the Alt Left.
These 2 clowns are taking the democrat party to new lows and helping dismantle it, or better yet finally revealing to the public their true identity.
If the democrats have a prayer of surviving or even getting through 2018 elections they need to dump these chumps and distance themselves.
-
I don't know any moderate, nor conservative Democrats. They are all lock step with the DNC talking points which are all radical, far left (fasco-communist).

There are a few out there, but they are lost in the sea of the alt left progressive radicals. To speak out or use reason they will find themselves the subject of scorn by their own party leaders.

Tucker Carlson is really impressing me with how he is handling his show. His interviews are long, he doesn't talk over his guests, he tried to force them to answer the questions.
O'Reilly and Hannity are unwatchable, but I record and watch Tucker.
-
A mere year ago the MSM and the democrats were jubilant in the pending collapse of the Republican Party. Remember the headlines? "GOP in disarray", etc. While conservatives were having a crisis of conscience, the democrats were lockstep behind the only candidate permitted to run for the Dem. nomination. (Bernie forced his way in and the Dem. establishment used him as a useful idiot.)
Now look at what is happening to the Democrat party. If anything but the radical left exists in that party, I can't see it. THEY are on the slide to irrelevancy.
The same thing happened in Wisconsin. Remember the Wisconsin democrat senators leaving the state and hiding out in Rockford Illinois to play into the hands of the radical leftist protestors and not take a vote on Act 10? Then followed the recall election of Scott Walker. What happened? Walker got more votes in the recall than he did in his first election. And as of this past election, both the Wisconsin Senate and Assembly are tilted more towards Republicans than at any time in the past couple of decades.
This traditionally purple state is turning bright red in large part because Wisconsin Democrats have yielded to the unhinged militant leftists in that party, making "normal" democrats largely irrelevant.
This very well could happen nationally as well. So Berkeley Democrat arsonists and anarchists? Keep the fires burning.

I love Hannity's radio show but I agree with you about these two TV shows. I've stopped watching both of them, the sole reason being they never let a guest finish a thought before walking all over them.
-
I like Tucker, and Greg Gutfeld. The others. Meh.

Agree with your whole post. I don't know about the politicians but I've been watching a lot of youtube videos where ordinary people voice their opinions. There are certain groups of people that are swinging Republican, or at least leaving the Democrat party. Many are religious Democrats. Like the old black man who's been a Democrat his whole life but is very homophobic and is appalled by the radical gay agenda embraced by the Democrats, and deeply religious Catholics, who have been loyal Democrats since Kennedy, now see the Democrat party becoming completely amoral. Same with Protestant working class in the south and the rust belt. These demographics might not be there yet in a statistical majority (in the case of blacks it is still far from that) but the sentiment seems to be taking root. The Democrat party has gone too far into looneyland and the majority of Americans are not extremists.

I meant POLICITIANS, not the electorate.
Ok, you said you didn't know any, so I assumed the electorate.

And now the left looks for a new torch bearer.......
https://www.nationaljournal.com/s/647681?unlock=K36E7XFBC11I1KQ7
Al Franken isn’t a punch line in the Senate anymore. He’s emerged as one of the Democrats’ most aggressive and effective questioners of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees. He’s generated numerous made-for-TV clips as one of the few Democrats willing to go full-bore against his party’s top targets—Jeff Sessions, Tom Price, and Betsy DeVos. He’s finally showing some personality in the Senate, punctuated by his laugh-out-loud exchange with Energy Secretary-designate Rick Perry. And he’ll be one of nine Democrats on the Judiciary Committee questioning Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch. This is Al Franken’s moment in the spotlight, and if he chooses, he could parlay his good fortune into a bid for the presidency in 2020.
To be sure, Franken, 65, may not be the Democrats’ strongest candidate in the general election. His deeply liberal politics and long-standing dismissiveness of Republicans turn off many voters in the middle. But with Democrats looking for strident opposition to Trump in the early days of his presidency, they’re probably not going to be in a pragmatic mood in the primaries. So far, much of the liberal excitement has centered around Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, but they will be 71 and 79, respectively, during the general election. Neither has shown any ability to win support outside the most progressive precincts. Franken, at least, can point to a record of electability with groups that Democrats will need to win over.

Let him run. I'd love to hear more about his ascendancy to the Senate (as in, "we're gonna recount these votes until you get the 'right' answer), and how the district that put him over the top had more votes cast than residents.
