Quoting directly from Nancy Pelosi's congressional web page:
https://pelosi.house.gov/news/press-releases/pelosi-sends-letter-to-speaker-ryan-calling-for-release-of-full-impact-of-gop (https://pelosi.house.gov/news/press-releases/pelosi-sends-letter-to-speaker-ryan-calling-for-release-of-full-impact-of-gop)
"The American people and Members have a right to know the full impact of this legislation before any vote in Committee or by the whole House."
Read the bill before voting on it??

When you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
To back her up, a new bestselling book is out called Reasons to Vote for Democrats. The book consists of blank pages.
Reviews are stellar.

In general, the Democrats think the ENTIRE American public is stupid. Maybe their blind, following minions are able to accept this type of public statement, and not laugh, but I can not. What a joke. It is another reason why they lost.

Good one!
Hmmmm... Problem was, most Republicans complained it was too long and took too many days to read. ;)

Since no one got that chance I doubt that statement is factual and it is certainly not germane to the stunning hypocrisy of liberals.
However it makes perfect sense as an evasive tactic to excuse that hypocrisy, which is the liberal way.

How is that a problem?
The Republicans wanted to slow the process down and debate the contents. Pelosi wanted to pass it without even knowing what was in it.

I'm thinking people are missing the petty point of Gary's post.

Explain it to me like I'm a 5 year old.

If Gary was trying to dig at Republicans, it was a miss. As I recall, they wanted to read the Obamacare bill, but were told otherwise.
Having input from a limited set of people is a really stupid way to make laws. Hasn't that been proved by now?

Jim's subject was the gross hypocrisy of Pelosi (quoted from her own website) in demanding that the R-sponsored bill be shown to and read by everyone involved before passing it, which is the exact reverse of her position on the D-sponsored bill.

Don't worry, Gary. Some of us still have a sense of humor left. :)

I got it also! :)
Yes, it is ironic what Pelosi said, but I don't expect anything but failure from her anyway, so not surprised.

One person's humor is another's grave insult. Sort of like mocking a cripple. Not that i know of anyone that has done that.

What, me worry? (with an attribute to Alfred E. Neumann)
