So, even though I agree with Disney this time, on this, I am sure they will cave to PCness and apologize and give him a complimentary Tiara.

Not a competition. Just a 'princess for a day experience'. You dress up, walk around, people see you, take pics. No participation trophy, no judging, no prizes.

And toddlers are not very aware of gender anyway, what's the big deal? I'm afraid I fall on the side of the parent in this case. Apparenlty it was not Disney policy to exclude boys from princess dress up but some employee's personal misjudgment. Disney was right to apologize. That being said it doesn't mean I think girls should be allowed to join the Boy Scouts and vice versa. Context folks. 3 year old dress up - they are too young for it to matter.
