Quote
The Environmental Protection Agency has shrunk considerably since Scott Pruitt took over as administrator. In fact, the agency is back to President Reagan-era staff levels.

Over 700 EPA personnel have either retired, quit, or taken voluntary buyouts since Pruitt took over, Think Progress found after combing through federal employment statistics. Some are quitting in "disgust."

I wonder how many of them were lawyers?  I read somewhere that the EPA has more attorneys on staff than the DOJ.

The worse thing for our country is political appointees in agency higher up positions.

Even worse are the career bureaucrats who are almost always Progressive, and Democrat because they are strictly government growth types, and it is purely self serving.

There truly is the sense that they are their own 4th branch of government.

Try arguing with an IRS agent that their position, unsupported by the statute, goes against Congressional intent. There answer typically sounds like “pfffft.”
