Title: Dimms planning on skipping State of the Union

Maxine Waters - "He is the most despicable human being".  This is not what I want to hear from my law makers.  Grow up.  Exercise respect.

This moderate liberal is not at all impressed.

The running narrative is that Trump is a racist. It is so commonly held in some circles that no one ever questions it.

The reality is that Maxine Waters and her cabal of followers are the real racists.

Strategy right out of "Rules for Radicals."

It'll be really interesting if the Democrats retake control of the House and then do not formally invite the President to give his constitutionally mandated address.

If the Dems retake the House, better start shorting your stocks.

That would be very, very petty of them, but I would not be surprised to see it.

The Constitution does not require that the president deliver a speech.  It requires that he provide information to them.  He could do that via a report just as easily and perhaps more effectively.

Article II, Section 3, in part says "He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient;"

That's correct and according to the House history archives website many presidents have done just that, including FDR in 1945:

But given how everything else has gone since Trump was elected, this will be another "big story."

I wonder who’s going to give the Democrat/Socialist response - Nicholas Maduro or Raoul Castro?

The mummified body of Vladimir Lenin.  You know, Russia, Russia, Russia!

Sean Penn or Michael Moore.
