CNN, ABC, NYT, Washpo, Newsweek, Time, CBS, NBC, PBS, etc have been doing this for decades, and finally, now they are getting called out on it.  Finally!  Will they change?  NO.

According to their headline; "... immediately backfire, take down website" would indicate that the website itself was down. Which is not correct. The website remained up all the time, but the network which was trying to support all the media fleas accessing it went unavailable due to the massive volume of requests.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but this is a 'problem' that every website in the world would like to have. Too much traffic too fast.
