Time to start putting the IT guys in jail. Our government is supposed to have systems in place which provide backups to crucial documentation and doing that is IT's job.
Backups do not get deleted and hard drives do not get bleached without IT's help. When they do this, it is destruction of evidence and obstruction of justice. It will not stop until you prosecute someone. IMO, the mere fact that it was their responsibility and that they failed to do it is enough.

Just try to imagine the outcry if Nixon had responded that he accidentally deleted the Oval Office tapes, demagnetized them, then incinerated them.
These outright in-your-face look-you-dead-in-the-eye while pissing in your Cheerios shenanigans, coupled with a lack of meaningful prosecution, is a very large part of why the system is so flawed right now - zero accountability.

But yet we allow millions to be spent in a fraudulent "Russia Investigation" that is corrupt from the word go and the real criminals are behind the investigation.
Unreal.
