If those political whims are turned into law, the judiciary is required to enforce them. It is not the job of the judiciary’s decide which laws are good or bad. It is their job to determine if the laws are constitutionally valid.

In this case, it's congress who determines the fate of the Chief Executive and all they know is politics. Instead of doing their Constitutional duty and looking at the case "without passion or prejudice" they'd rather bend to what suits their narrow ideological views. That's the shame I was referring to.
