OK, here's how it goes. Amazon and Bezos are hard-line, uber liberals. They are planning a big expansion in Seattle area. So - the good city fathers decide to raise a head tax for homeless housing - but, only on companies with very high revenue(like Amazon). See where this is going? Yup, good ole liberal Amazon turned right around and halted construction on the tax announcement, and not only that they are going to sub-lease some of their current holdings.
Blue on the outside, hardline red capitalists on the inside.

Didn't some council woman say that Amazon can easily afford it and in fact could easily afford four times as much? When government decides it wants your money, there is no such thing as too much.

Liberals want EVERYTHING you own. They want EVERYTHING you will ever earn and that will never be enough.

But you see, you own NOTHING. Everything, EVERYTHING belongs to the state. When you work, you labor for the benefit of the state. You don't earn, but rather you are graciously given what the state thinks you deserve. All hail the state.
It all makes sense when you realize that this is the democrat mindset.

Bezos is the perfect example of liberal hypocrisy.
His company Amazon is a powerhouse and extremely profitable, yet his employees are underpaid and work in horrid conditions. Amazon takes advantage of every tax code they can find (not paying their "fair share") and then looks to exploit communities tax laws to their advantage.

There are some sources that say Amazon paid almost no fed taxes in 2017. And I am not one to rant and rave about others paying more taxes, but jeezalou, if the wealthiest retailer on the planet doesn't have to pay taxes, why should the rest of us pay taxes.

You mean like how wealthy Liberals set up "charitable organizations" to avoid taxes, then let that same organization pay their travel, hotels, meals and a whole host of other expenses tax free?
Or how an organization such as Media Matters is classified as a tax free charity?

Businesses just pass through taxes to the consumer anyway. I have no problem when a business legally avoids more taxes. I do have a problem when a corporation promotes itself as a Social Justice crusader, like Starbucks, Amazon, and all the Silicon Valley tech companies then abuse their employees, and be hypocrites like most liberal/progressives.
It is always do as I say, not as I do.

There are always TWO kinds of democrats.
ONE: The crazy as a bedbug, stupid as a pet rock (like the perfessor), always lecturing people but never actually doing anything because that requires more than virtue signaling.
TWO: The ones who live off the tax code, avoiding taxes by setting up dummy corporations, family 'charitable' foundations and / or pretending to be all in on the fake mmgw scam, then buying multi-million dollar beach front homes, right where they claimed the rising tide would wipe out millions of people and living in energy sucking houses that use many times the electricity of any normal home and they always ride in private jets that spew fluorocarbons into the atmosphere at very high levels.
They're ALWAYS lying, always hypocrites and always living off the backs of the taxpayer just like the welfare queens and their worthless cycle of dependency.

I had a pretty good laugh, maybe 15 years ago. In some aviation mag, there was a story about ultra-lib Jim Carrey had just bought a new plane. Maybe a Citation, or a Falcon or something. Seems that one of his filming days was taking too long, and the fees at Burbank were getting up there, so he 'relocated' it to Van Vuys, which is about 6 miles away. Later, after filming completed for the night, he again 'relocated' it back to Burbank, picked him up and took him to Santa Barbara for the night. Next morning, back to Burbank and do it all over again.
OBTW, this was all tax deductible too. Normal business travel expense.

Jim Carrey, is just a whack job progressive, like MOST of the entertainment industry. Also, a huge hypocrite, again like the rest of them. People like Leo DiCaprio, and Barbara Streisand are among the worst.
