OK, he didn't say precisely that, but that's what I say. As a former college defensive tackle, I'd be tempted to take the guy out.
Go Broncos!

Racist! lol

There was a great line:
When you score a touchdown, act like you've been there before.
I've never been impressed with the hotdogs
Having said that, I'm still rooting for the Panthers to completely obliterate the broncos. I enjoy seeing the pouty manning face.

Yet again Cam Newton is teaching another generation to be unsportsmanlike.

It's the "It's all about ME" attitude that drives me nuts.

It looks to me like he's a young dude having a blast playing a game he loves. And he happens to be able to back up his swagger. But I guess if we wanted to, we could tell him to shut up and hand everyone a participation trophy so they don't get their feelers hurt. :)

It's about class, and being like you have been there before. Not about taunting the other team, and over celebration like an idiot. I heard a local sports station saying Joe Namath did the same thing. No freaking way they are the same.
It's also not about his level of play, but he's black, so we can't comment, right? More censorship, but it's OK because the ends justify the means to you to make our society "better". Progressive, Orwellian thought again from you.

Where's Vince Lombardi when we need him?

Thanks, Obama. ::) You can pick up your participation trophy by the ladies room.
The NFL has penalties for excessive celebration, taunting, and unsportsmanlike conduct. Let the dude play, and let the rules be applied when necessary. He's young and having the time of his life. Not everyone is a regal, stuffy older man playing a gentleman's sport. Maybe his swagger comes back to bite him, maybe not. We'll see in a week!

I'm just glad to see someone besides New England and the NY Giants playing in the super bowl. It gets boring when there's very little new blood, so when the Seahawks whack the Broncos, and get to go to the big game, I'm glad to see someone new.

You've never played a collision sport, have you? It's fairly stupid to taunt your opponent when he can literally take you out on the next play.
You probably also love the guys that are down 28-3 in the 4th quarter and get a sack and do some kind of dance like they just won the game. They're all morons.
This is a team sport, not an individual sport. The "Look at me, look at me" crowd doesn't get that, and are usually a source of disunity in the locker room, especially when things go poorly.

Not just those sports...there's a reason that they don't give the pitcher a ball after a home-run. Often the hot-dogs who like to admire their homers tend to get up close and personal with a fastball their next at-bat.

I played Football, and Lacrosse most of my life growing up. Lacrosse in college too. We self policed. If you over celebrated, or taunt you got hurt. That was reality. It was reality in the NFL also before TV took over. Watch NFL film from the 60's, and even into the 70's. If you were an idiot, you got whacked. Now you get on ESPN.

Anyone remember Antoine Walker who played for the Celtics a few years back ('96 to '03)?
When he made a shot, he'd do this dumbass shimmey as he ambled back to play defense. The thing is, most of that time, the Celtics had a losing record. Walker's antics epitomize stupid.
And ya know what... showboating is still stupid when winning.

I didn't say it was smart. But he has survived so far.

Agreed. I regularly roll my eyes. But that's not the situation the Panthers find themselves in.

Looks to me like the team has the best record in football.

the point being they didn't play a lot of AFC teams...
remember the year when the Bears had a great record? and got crushed by the Colts in the superbowl...

Ok, that point sailed over me. :)
I am actually a Broncos fan, but wouldn't mind the Panthers winning their first. They've been fun to watch.

We used to call those guys ........

We used to call those guys faggots.
Wouldn't know. I'm a non-smoker.

Cam is one hell of a great QB.

The Panthers will whup the broncos.

Having lived outside of Denver for several years, I am half a Donkies fan. I hope they win, but I think you are right. The Panthers, and Cam are just too tough. Yes, I still think he's a douche.

Given that the NFL has chosen Ed Hochuli to referee the superbowl, maybe people should rethink picking the Panthers to win...

Why, do you think he holds a grudge against Newton for being a douche?

no. Denver is 8-0 in games when Hochuli is the referee.

Thank you, Cam! Thanks for proving what many if us suspected, particularly after your post-game press conference. You are a petulant man child douche bag!

I guess we got our answer last night. I'm guessing the swagger is a bit less "swaggy" this morning.
