25% of federal workers say they'll consider quitting if Trump elected President. As with lawyer jokes, the punchline should be "OK, that's a good start."

If 25% of the federal employees quit, and that is impossible, as few people are as overcompensated as federal employees, it would be a good place to start reducing the size of the bloated machine.

Federal employees, I have read, constitute about a third of the population when it comes to voter power; by this I think it is meant that when it comes to voting for a candidate who wants to trim budgets, federal employees AND THEIR FAMILIES vote against that candidate so the wage earner's job is saved.

Hopefully just the non-essential workers quit. ;D

It's totally amazing that we as a nation can actually survive the government shutdowns that happen every Saturday and Sunday the year.

Of course essential people work weekends. Just like they work during the "government shutdown" lie. But the million nonessential FedGov employees aren't working on weekends, yet somehow we survive.

I guess the entire state of Virginia would be unemployed. Anybody ever go there? I swear everybody in that state either works directly for the federal government, or contracts to the federal government. Not that I blame them personally one bit. Go where the money is. Where I live, the big money maker is computer tech, but in Virginia the money maker is the Federal Government.

The twelve richest counties in the U.S. surround Washington DC, and they are in NOVA, and MD.
