That happened very quickly. I just read either yesterday or this morning that he was stopping cancer treatments.

My sister went like that. She was having buildup of fluid on her lungs and every few days they would do a procedure to remove it. Finally she said screw this what a fucking pain in the butt I'm not going through any more procedures bye y'all. Couple days later she died.

Another example of a man who gave a full life of duty to his country. As it says on the POW patch, he has surely gone to heaven because he has already been through hell. I know there are many here that did not agree with him politically, but for the sake of your own reputation, do try to maintain decency.

I've studied John McCain's life in detail, much above the carefully crafted narrative JM spent the better part of his life creating. Odd you mention "do try to maintain decency" when discussing JM as this was one of his major faults.

RIP. McCain was not someone I was ever impressed with from way back. I still recall his involvement with Keating 5, and he was the only one to basically get off without a scratch. He cheated on his wife, along with the bank cheating. Got into Naval Aviation on the back of his father and grandfather. Never had a job in private industry, but died with a pretty nice portfolio. I always wonder how 'public servants' become rich? No matter the party. Will never forget his stabbing the party, and the Amer people in the back with Obamacare. Legacy will not be kind to McCain.

I never like to hear of people who die of cancer.
Never liked John McCain. He was far too close to Teddy Kennedy and hilary clinton for my taste. He was a true blue progressive in the GOP and never let party loyalty, or what was best for the country stand in the way of him pandering the liberal side of any vote.
He and jeff flake are two of the worst GOP senators in history, with McKaskill (sp) a near third.

I was thinking of the one from Alaska, Murkowski, (SP) whose father used to be Governor. She is a blue as McCain was and twice as corrupt.

Also, I just read a piece that said it was McCain who was instrumental in passing on info from the discredited dossier to Comey at the FBI in 2016. Man the guy had zero scruples, and he's not wanting Trump at his funeral. As if Trump would have attended anyway.

I think Trump would have. While he has the thinnest of skins, and I understand his irritation with McCain, he also understands the office of POTUS, and some of the things that presidents should do.
