Bryan,
For future reference, if you are attempting to make a funny YouTube video, it needs to contain actual humor. Moronic is not funny.
Thanks

Don't feed the troll.
They don't appreciate it and they shit all over everything.

Yep.
Since he resides in a very sheltered forum at PoA and if everyone doesn’t pretend to think his childish toilet humor is funny they get the ban hammer, I just took a moment to let him know his idiotic attempts at YouTube humor aren’t working.
Kinda like a public service announcement.

I bought a 1980s Snapper riding mower and I'm fixing it up! See below.

Damn. I wish you weren't such a liberal dickhead. I could almost like you.
But at times, you do seem to be coming around, so maybe you aren't a complete dickhead.
(See, we couldn't say that on POA without being hit with the ban hammer).
Let us know how the snapper project turns out.

Ignoring the "don't feed the troll" advice,
You are right: CNN hates Trump.
But FOX merely reports the news. Sometimes it is bad about Trump and sometimes it is factual. The facts have mostly been very good. CNN ignores those facts.
Oh, FOX does have editorial opinions, that are somewhat pro-Trump, or more accurately, pro-capitalism, but I also learn a lot of bad shit about Trump on FOX. I ONLY see bad shit about Trump on the other networks.

I've done a couple of those. They are classics. There's a friction ring on the trans that wears and a lot of people get rid of their mower when it has no power to move, or go up any hills.

It's a hassle to get to, and a hassle to change, but will make all the difference in the world in the traction. Check the vid below

You got the "hi vac" model. It has a special blade with a curve up at the back of the blade to lift up the grass and then discharge it pretty fast. These are good for heavy grass as long as the blade is kept real sharp. The only downside is they don't steer very well because all the weight is on the back. If you have the upright storage option, there should be a couple of bars sticking up and down at the back. those bars are designed so that you can tilt the front end up vertical, and store it when not in use. Just take out the battery first. The oil and gas will stay in the unit, but the battery will leak if stored vertically.

Thank you for Answering my question unlike other people who don't like ShamaLama for no reason but it look they do not have any humor just mean mean mean.

okay I have to fess up I have totally missed the whole Bryan with a y thing. Who is that on the PoA board and is he the same person as Shama etc. here?

I think the correct response to the above question should be considered for about 36-40 years and then brought up if any person involved in this thread is about to be confirmed for high office - but only if they are a republican.

You need to ask that on PoA. They just updated their rules that now venerate inclusion, so your views and posts will be accepted regardless.
As far as I'm concerned you can post whatever nonsense you want here, too, but I'm not a moderator.
Both CNN and FOX are right in what they like and do not like. Likes/dislikes are subjective preferences, not objective descriptions of anything.

Thanks! I've got it up on its back as we speak. The blade was pitifully dull so I've sharpened it. It does have the "wings" on it. I was hoping to mulch my grass clippings though, so we'll see.
It ran like garbage so I pulled the carb, scoured the rust out of the float bowl, and cleaned and reassembled everything, and it's much, much better. Doesn't need any choke to start. In fact it won't start with any choke. No sure if that's a blessing or a sign of needing adjustment. I've got a good feel for how the throttle works and is adjusted.
Also getting a feel for all the grease points, the clutch and drive system, etc. That friction disc drive system is real interesting to me. My shifter was brutally stiff, especially into reverse, so working on that. Also discovered that fully depressing the clutch makes it harder to shift than easing up on the pedal slightly. Don't have a good understanding of why that would be. Yet.
The whole thing feels like a tank.
I'm a sucker for those scenes in Forrest Gump where he's riding the Snapper. So I'm enjoying it so far. Even though I have an urban yard that had no need for a rider. 8)
Maybe I'll do a little lawn work on the side...

It'll be October soon - are you in an area of the country where you could use it right away when its fixed up, or have to wait till spring?

Tampa area of Florida. So I'll be good! Right now, frankly, we've had such a wet summer I think I'd leave ruts all over the yard if I used it. Hoping it dries up a bit. I can't remember this much rain in recent memory.

Yeah, they all shift hard. Replace the fluid in the trans, and check out that clutch plate and drive plate. It requires adjustment, if not replacement. For the carb, you've got it running too rich. There are several different carbs, but I think you'll have the one with the main adjustment screw on the bottom of the float. Or, it could be in the side. Start with it 1.5-2 turns out. Get it warm, adjust the idle first with the mixture screw on the top side and have it idle comfy without hunting. Use good non-Eth gas to adjust. After you get the idle set, run the speed up a bit, engage the blade to load the engine, then run it all the way up so the governor is controlling the RPM. Now, turn the mixture in very slowly, and you'll hear the RPM drop. As soon as you hear the RPM drop on the engine, you are now 'lean of peak' in aviation terms. Run it there for a minute to clear up the residual fuel in the intake and cylinder, then turn it out about 1/2 to 3/4.
Now your carb is set right. In warm weather in FL it likely won't need choke to start. Take the plug out after 3-5 hours of use and see that it's a nice chocolate color. If it's dark brown, turn the main mixture in slightly.
The Hi-Vac blade will mulch if you don't go over real heavy grass. There should be an exit cover on the discharge for mulching that just keeps the cuttings inside the blade. For mulch, you can't cut real high stuff, and need to leave the blade near it's lowest level. But - make sure your tires are aired up right, or you'll grind right into the ground. There's a rear discharge kit for going over heavy stuff. It's a big giant bagger that goes on those sticks on the back, and a tube that hooks to the discharge. I used my Snapper with the bagger for a couple years, but it is hard to turn when the bag gets full.
Lube everything under there in the back, except that clutch ring and plate and it might shift better. Put a couple more pics in.
Here's the actual correct mulcher kit for a Snapper, but maybe not for your model. Note the blades.

Large single bag catcher. Good price, but make sure the discharge is the right style for Hi Vac deck.
