See it. If you want to get inside the head of the players, they have original interviews, and very good insight. Watched the first episode, was very impressed.

The Dems want to remind everyone about Watergate because that is the next “Get Trump” plan. They intend to draw parallels with Watergate and then use those things to convince themselves that he has obstructed justice. Of course, in the liberal mind, when he fights ridiculous accusations in court, then he is obstructing justice.

The dims are still butt hurt over Bubba being impeached and want revenge.
That, and now the Obama legacy is being erased is just more than they could stand.

Quite frankly, this is sort of what I was expecting. But the parallels made to Trump admin are not there. It seems to me so far as being a straight up look at the timeline, the players, their motivations, actions, and results. Very little linkage except a passing comment to the modern 'fake news' when investigating the Canuck letter, and discrediting Muskie.
The timing is certainly suspect, but so far it seems rather fleshed out with focus on the players then, and very little modern commentary. In fact, I learned something that surprised me. Woodward was a staunch Republican. He pushed just has hard if not harder than Bernstein to expose the whole Watergate mess.
The other part that this brings into clear relief is what a bunch of actual criminals were at work in the upper echelons of the Nixon WH. The fact that most of them went to Club Fed for two years back at the time seemed excessive, but today seems like a slap on the wrist given the amount and type of crimes committed. It was breathtaking how corrupt all the presidents men actually were. And - most of them had law degrees.
