So I see that the Dems have asked the IRS for Trump's tax returns for the last 6 years, including his businesses. I liked his response...
"Is that all? Usually it's 10."
I'm curious if the president has been playing the Dems all along knowing they were going to do this. It'll be hilarious to have a big fight only to find out everything is in order.
I'm sure there will be outrage about the amount of taxes paid, money earned, etc.

Congress cannot demand the IRS turn over someone's tax returns. Period.
There is no law, and never has been a law that requires Presidents or people running for President to disclose their tax returns. Period.
Taxes for an individual like Trump are extremely complex. I promise that the majority of the mental midgets in congress couldn't begin to understand them. But that doesn't matter, with their MSM they will be able to cherry pick items then spin a narrative of "corruption!"
-
They know they can't legally force him to turn them over, and that is exactly what they want. This way they can all say "what is he hiding". And the mindless sheeple will be outraged.
On a return as complicated as his, an army of lawyers would have a field day. There are undoubtedly going to be questionable entries. And even if they are legal, they can be made to look sinister. A good tax auditor can do that with almost any long form. And you can bet Trump's is really long.

They are trying to do what Harry Reid did to Mitt Romney by saying he did t pay taxes, and spaghetti-spined Romney bowed to the pressure and released his returns.
I have no concern that Trump will wilt under any pressure. He got elected once without releasing them, so why should he do that now? He won’t, but he’ll play with the democrats like he’s tossing a tennis ball to a dog to fetch.

What are you guy talking about. All they are looking for is the line on his taxes that says
$1,000,000.00 Russian Bribe
This is dumb as hell. I can not imagine how big Trump tax return is. Even IF he did take a bribe or anything questionable, his lawyers and tax guys would have it buried so deep it would be almost impossible to find.

They don’t have to find anything illegal. They only have to find something they can spin to make the President look corrupt to a gullible public and that can done with any number of legal tactics.

Trump's personal tax returns (and his corporate ones) are done by an army of accountants, and lawyers using the tax code. People are idiots to think he does them, and would purposely do illegal things with his personal taxes. I hope he continues to tell them to pound sand.
Maybe Obama should have released his personal punch card to the Chicago Bath Houses. You know, take ten baths get the eleventh one free.

Correct. As a member of that army of accountants i can tell you that people will learn very little from his returns. The details will be in all of the corporations, partnerships, and LLCs that he’s invested in, and I guarantee they are substantial in number. I saw his required financial disclosure back in 2016 and holy cow, that’s a spiderweb of entities.

Remember how quickly the useless idiots of the left switched from attacking Romneyvaz a tax cheat to him being immoral for using the tax code as written?
-
And the Hollywood and political "elite" millionaires who demand that the rich pay their fair share... they are perfectly able to send their money to the IRS any time they want. But noooooooooo.

That fuck George Clooney makes a bunch of noise about equality in pay......think he would like to split up his $20 million per movie fee to the other actors in the same film?
Hypocrisy.

If they want Trump's taxes then they should provide theirs in turn. I would be fine with making it a law to disclose to the the public the tax returns of all people running for office. Let's see how these politicians become multi-millionaires in office on a starting salary of $175,000 a year.

Not to mention - he tax returns are under audit. The IRS might just confirm that whatever the Democrats say is perfectly legitimate.
First Russian collusion, now taxes. Looks like Democrats are going for a double birther moment.

If those two fail, they will bring back "Pussy Gate".

Lots of tax returns get audited, especially conservatives and Republicans. Do you really think his accountants and lawyers would put him at risk for any IRS issues? No, the Democrats have nothing legitimate. How could they? They haven't seen his returns yet. You are again grasping at anti Trump straws. Nice try.

I read Flynn's post differently.

You are probably correct. I may have read it wrong. My point is and maybe his, is this is another fishing expedition being used as a replacement for the Russia hoax. What price has the Media and Democrats paid for being wrong about Russia? None.

And it's not far fetched to believe that IRS would side with the Democrats in an effort to undermine Trump.
