That about sums it up. Progressives now believe they have a RIGHT not to be offended, and the license to remove anything in which offends them even though YOU make like it or want to keep it.
I like Confederate Statues. I like Union Statues. They all represent our history, and are usually very cool to look at. Now, in many cities, and towns, I can't view some of them anymore. I like murals of George Washington and other Founding Fathers. Yet, they are being destroyed in some places because they owned slaves, or there are depictions of slaves and/or Indians in the painting.
If Trump sneezes, the MEDIA and Democrats accuse him of Racism and want him impeached.

I really don't understand their motivation to proceed with an impeachment inquiry. If they do file the articles, there is zero chance that the Senate will convict him, so why do it? Sure, it's political, they want to paint Trump in as bad a light as possible during the year leading up to the election, but that's a lousy strategy as it could just as easily backfire. The charges are likely to be weak enough that moderates in the Dem base will be turned off, and they can't win next year without the moderates on board.
I suspect they are doing this only to give their request for the grand jury documents a legal basis. Absent a smoking gun, this isn't going anywhere... unless the loony progressive wing gets the upper hand, and in that case it's *still* not going anywhere once it leaves the House, and it's likely to hurt Dem chances next year.

I'm wondering what the Dems think would happen if they somehow managed to impeach Trump.
Pence would become President.
Then, he could potentially be elected two more times.

They have no legal standing for acquiring grand jury testimony. None.
And a political stunt by congress won’t get that for them.
The dims are desperate. The “Russia Collusion” hoax has failed. It’s follow on “Obstruction” has failed. Right now their are several AG investigations ongoing to uncover the people behind the hoax, and the perpetrators are nervous and are desperately trying to change the narrative.

The dedicated progressive left share several traits in common with sociopaths.
1. Sociopaths need to control their environment. Leftists, while pretending to care about the poor, in reality this is simply the desire to CONTROL the overall economy. The left believes it has superior skill and knowledge to manage on a macro scale the machinations of millions of individual fiscal transactions. This is almost a psychotic level of delusion. Either they are that mentally twisted, or they are deliberately only redistributing wealth in the form of entitlements to the poor because it serves the purpose of gaining votes which is manipulation... bringing us to number 2
2. They need to manipulate people. Sociopaths manipulate you to keep you on their side. Leftists get and keep their supporters by manipulating them; their finances (promises of free stuff) and their emotions (identity politics, etc.)
3. Sociopaths lie. Leftism in all its forms (socialism, progressivism, communism - and I am including nationalistic socialism such as the Nazis, so called “right”) all lie. Always without fail they promise utopian societies and they FAIL to deliver, on the contrary they always deliver catastrophe. Just like the sociopathic individual, after first charming you and promising the moon, leftism leaves only destruction.
3. Sociopaths see themselves above the law. Likewise leftists have no qualms breaking the law to get what they want.
4. Sociopaths have no conscience and no empathy for others. The progressive left makes a big show of empathy toward its chosen victim groups but this is revealed as FAKE because they cannot feel any empathy for a corresponding member who does not agree with their political agenda. Example: “We don’t want Muslims that don’t want to be Muslim. We don’t want queers that don’t want to be queer.”
5. Sociopaths care only about themselves. The elite progressive left manipulates everything to further their own agenda which furthers their own power and wealth. If this destroys the economy they don’t care. If this destroys the lives of others they don’t care. They destroyed Michael Flynn for the only purpose of trying to take down Trump, undo the 2016 election, all because they could not stand the fact that they lost.
6. Sociopaths are impulsive. Sociopathic individuals do not make wise spending decisions and take impulsive actions. The progressive left implements sweeping poorly thought out policies. Example: Obamacare. (A walk in the park compared to the Green New Deal.)
Number 7 keeps saying liberalism is a mental disease. I say, specifically progressive leftism (not classical liberalism but I know what he means) is indeed a mental disease and the exact diagnosis is collective sociopathy.

Democrats should be encouraged to continue to push for impeachment and to remove Pelosi if she gets in the way. They are self-destructing over their TDS and we should help them in every way possible. In fact, it would be brilliant strategy wise for Republicans to support removing Pelosi and putting AOC as speaker. Complete disaster for the Democrats.

I'm curious. If you think Trump is an asshole and aren't inclined to vote for him, why would you want the Democrats to self-destruct as opposed to, say, taking a more moderate tack? Or are you thinking that a third party might be in a better position if the Dems go down in flames? If so, what third party?
