And Carlin was a "Liberal", however, a stark contrast to today's "Progressives". He was anti establishment, anti big government and anti control. A classic liberal that didn't like "The Administration", whomever it was.
Today's Progressives want more big government, more control of the populace, and less freedoms and liberties. In fact they want to give up much of their First and Second Amendment rights and also TAKE YOURS AWAY. All for the false promise of more safety and security.
Yet they want to let unknown, un-vetted HOARDS of Illegal Aliens into the country. Yeah, that makes sense. ::)

The recommendations going around these days are so stupid. Don’t shake hands, instead bump elbows? It’s not a good thing to completely isolate yourself from community germs. Carlin is joking but he is actually very correct. Your immune system does need germs to “practice” on or it isn’t strong. For example, lack of exposure to a lot of germs in early childhood is associated with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Cancer in general is starting to be seen as a failure of your immune system, rather than a set of unrelated causes. Yes, environmental toxins and pathogens can cause cancer, but the real cause is that your immune system should be killing the nascent cancer cells as they arise, and for people who end up “getting” cancer, maybe they are only the ones whose immune system failed to stop it, maybe we all are constantly producing cancer cells that immediately get killed by our immune system and we just don’t know it.

Is there a correlation between not having a spleen and increased incidence of cancer? Lacking such a correlation, I'm not convinced that our immune system is has much responsibility for preventing cancer.

I have no idea. This is about all I know:
