Title: who has the courage of conviction...
Post by: Bob Noel on April 21, 2020, 05:00:58 AM
Who has the courage of their beliefs to defend the government arresting people who protest against the lockdowns?

Who?

Come on, stand up, and defend it.

I dare you.

I know someone who claims to fully understand the economic damage, but lives are at stake and so the government needs to start arresting everyone who violates social distancing.

This is a 25 year old liberal who 1.) has never owned a business and 2.) currently has a job and a paycheck unaffected by the lockdown.

"Fully understands the economic damage".... probably the stupidest most ignorant sentence I've heard from anyone since this thing began.

I wonder if the thinks-he-knows-it-all has thought through the consequences of arresting people who violate social distancing.

I wonder if the thinks-he-knows-it-all has thought about other things that put lives "at stake"

Remember when young men felt invincible, and we did a lot of stupid and dangerous things, usually for fun but often to show off for a girl?  These are the same men who go off to wars and do dangerous shit, because they can.

I went to the grocery store the other day. About 75% of the women wore masks, 0% of men over 45 wore masks, and 100% of millennial men wore masks. 100%.

Smh.

fwiw - I wear a mask at the grocery store only to make the workers feel more comfortable.  I know the mask is completely useless.  Watch people that wear masks and gloves, they have zero hand discipline, none.  If you are wearing a mask and touch your face, you've completely negated the value.

Who was it I was listening to yesterday who said these men have locked away their testicles? Oh man I can’t remember but it was a great commentary, was it Rush? I think it was.

I was at Walmart yesterday and an employee was helping me by getting a product from the back. He was wearing a mask that covered his mouth but not his nose, and as we talked he finally pulled the thing down completely and said, I can’t stand this thing, it makes me feel like I’m suffocating. I said “me too!  I can’t stand having something covering my mouth and nose”. I strongly suspected I wasn’t alone. But he said he had to wear it, all employees were being made to, and he looked around surreptitiously and pulled it back up when he saw a supervisor.  I sure hope that sweet guy doesn’t lose his job because he’s having trouble complying with this insanity.

Our Governor has ruled that we MUST all wear masks in stores now.  Employees AND customers.  So, I do, because they can refuse to sell to you if you don't.  I only put it on when walking in to the store, then take it off again when I leave.  It is a construction, dust mask that does absolutely nothing for germs.  Many are wearing cloth bandannas and scarves like Old West cattle rustlers and bank robbers used to wear.

I think I am going to buy a cowboy hat, and wear my six gun openly with a bandanna over my face, and pretend it is Halloween when I go to the grocery store.

Cool.  So your Governor must be able to point to the study/test/analysis that proves that COVID-19 is aerosolized (e.g., transmitted via airborne particles).

I wonder if that study shows the viability of COVID-19 in a variety of environments.  For example, what kills it and what doesn't.

That would be awesome information to have.  Your Governor has shared such insight with the people of your state, yes?

Where do you go to get a mask?  Home Depot is out of the only ones that work, the N95 mask.

The veterinarian community (per my daughter) is laughing at these cloth masks that people are wearing to protect themselves. That is because the moisture from breathing leaves a moist field right in front of your nose and mouth, so if you DO pass through a cloud of a sneeze, for example, that contains the virus, any germs will stay on the cloth in front of your mouth and nose for you to inhale at your leisure.  She said it is way better to pass through a sneeze cloud than to invite it to live on your face mask.

Using it to protect others is understood, but not to protect yourself.

It seems most are incapable of thought anymore.  Someone makes a suggestion without any scientific proof, then a government official reads it then makes it an "order".   Total fuckin' lunacy.  And to see what these idiots are wearing as "protection" is downright laughable.   This just proves to the government how much control they have over the sheeple.

If a governor came out today and declared "We have railroad boxcars ready to take everyone to a covid19 safe place, so start lining up" I think most of us would be shocked at the crowds forming at the rail yard.

It is amazing how gullible people are.  How many have been duped at Pseudo Science and "Models" (fake projections) sold to them as factual and believe in all the "FIXES" for the hoax of Man Made Climate Change?  Same thing with this Virus.

Yep, Wolfman Hack is on a roll, backed up by the medical director with gender identity issues.

Just who on this forum did you expect to defend the government for arresting people?  We have successfully run all those people off.

Occasionally someone will drop by.

And I wouldn't characterize snowflakes running away as being run off, nor do I think there was a deliberate effort to run off all "those people"... unless you know of some conspiracy.

Agree with Bob.  How do you "successfully run all those people off"?  If memory serves it was the election of Donald J. Trump and his subsequent success that "ran off" those people and probably kept them off.  However, I do believe I could be more diplomatic occasionally.

Glad you're standing up to be counted.

BTW, no one has ever "been run off" this forum.  If they left, it was for their own reason.

Kristen comes to mind, along with some other snowflakes that thought they would gleefully rub it in when their little princess was crowned.
