Our Governor, the White Obama, is the Bliss Ninny, Nanny State, Progressive (Fascist) of all time, rivaling Cuomo and Governor Phil Vladimir Lenin Murphy of New Jersey, and Governor Blackface of VA and that fucking C word in Michigan.
HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) – Governor Tom Wolf has signed the order directing 24 counties in Pennsylvania’s northwest and north central regions to begin the gradual process of reopening starting Friday, May 8. At the same time, Governor Wolf extended stay-at-home orders for all other counties in Pennsylvania until June 4. Then there is Governor Gay Boy in CA.
According to the previously released plan, the two dozen counties will move from the ‘red’ phase to the ‘yellow’ phase.
“Over the past two months, Pennsylvanians in every corner of our commonwealth have acted collectively to stop the spread of COVID-19,” Wolf said in a statement. “We have seen our new case numbers stabilize statewide and while we still have areas where outbreaks are occurring, we also have many areas that have few or no new cases.”

So June 4th? Let the towns and communities that make lots of money from Memorial Day ROT. In effect a full THREE MONTHS on LOCK DOWN.

when?
Don't know...the goal post keeps moving.
edit: having just listened to Gov Baker today (Monday) - I don't think Massachusetts will really open up for months and months. The governor just blathered for 30 minutes. He doesn't seem to understand how serious COVID-19 is not.

Georgia is open for business, just need movie theaters now. Still restaurants that haven't opened yet, but many have at their reduced capability.

My wife is saying that theaters may be closed for a while yet.
I guess Hollyweird is not making movies right now. They should have a backlog of movies that were to be released.

Wisconsin is in chaos. The governor’s legal authority ended yesterday but the order is extended through May 26. On Monday he allowed all 10 drive-in theaters in the state to open, with restrictions of course.
The legislature sued the governor and the suit was heard by the Wisconsin Supreme Court last week. We are all waiting for a decision which should be imminent.

Some counties in PA that were designated Yellow and scheduled to reopen were told they were again RED by Governor and could NOT reopen. They are openly rebelling and defying the Fascist Governor.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Gov. Tom Wolf attacked local elected officials making plans to reopen in defiance of his shutdown orders as cowards deserting the pandemic battlefield, threatening Monday to block aid to rebellious Pennsylvania counties in an escalating political fight over his administration's handling of the coronavirus.
The normally mild-mannered Democrat fired back after several GOP-controlled counties declared themselves in open rebellion against his stay-at-home orders and shutdown of businesses deemed “non-life-sustaining.” The counties assert they have enough testing, equipment and hospital capacity to manage flareups of a virus that has sickened over 57,000 in Pennsylvania, of whom more than 3,700 have died.
Wolf said local officials who pronounce their communities open for business are acting selfishly and risking lives.
“The politicians who are encouraging the people they were elected to lead to quit the fight are acting in a most cowardly way," said Wolf, asserting they are “choosing to desert in the face of the enemy.”
Wolf threatened to withhold COVID-19 funding to counties that act unilaterally and “put us all at risk by operating illegally.” Under the federal emergency relief law signed by President Donald Trump in late March, Pennsylvania has about $4 billion in aid that Wolf, for now, has pledged to work with the GOP-controlled Legislature on how to spend.
Republican officials responded sharply Monday to Wolf's “name-calling” and threats, saying their constituents are suffering economically and desperate to get back to work. They say Wolf has been arbitrary and illogical in deciding what areas of the state to reopen and when, refusing to explain his decisions.

Ohio is on schedule to be almost completely open by end of the month. If the weather is decent Saturday, I'm jumping on the ferry with the wife and heading out to the islands for dinner. Outdoor seating for now, which is why we are weather dependent.

Why weren’t they allowed right away. You sit in your own car.
I would think they might have the best year they have had in a while. Not much for entertainment competition.

Looks like Evers just got his pee-pee smacked over this.

Minnesota is going to let the stay at home order expire 4/17. Now we get safe at home. Same shit different name.
Now people able to gather with others in small groups of up to 10 people, and some retail businesses, such as those in malls and main street businesses, will be allowed to reopen up to 50% capacity with some guidelines and plans in place
Bar, restaurants, barber shops, salons and fitness centers MAYBE reopen on June

The state of South Dakota never had any state-wide lock down orders - though cities did have authority to close businesses and some, like Sioux Falls and Rapid City, did issue closures for many businesses. These have since been relaxed (e.g. restaurants may serve customers at half their stated seating capacity.) Businesses sited outside any city limits were not affected since counties did not have the same emergency authorities that are granted to cities.
The only exception was the governor issued stay at home orders in two counties covering Sioux Falls (which had the outbreak at the Smithfield meat plant) to anyone over 65 or who had specific medical conditions such as diabetes - and said persons were not employed in a critical industry. Basically those at highest risk in one area were “ordered” to stay home. That order has since expired and she is not extending it.

South Dakota had 39 deaths doesn't your Governor care about the people :)
Doing things at city level makes way more sense than a blank state wide order.

I'm looking to move to Wyoming or South Dakota. Originally, I wanted to go back to Colorado, but it has changed so much in the last 13 years since I lived there before. The transplants along the Front Range killed it. I am fine with making drugs legal, but the Pot Industry has changed Colorado for the worse as they were one of the first states to legalize it. All the loons moved there.

That, and it's become California east.

Not sure this tweet aged well.....

Which has caused housing prices to go through the roof along the front range. The Californians with their overly inflated real estate values come to Colorado and can plop down huge dollars. The value of my home in CO went from $375K in 2013 to $675K now.

They leave California because of the problems yet transform their new home into California. Reminds me of "The Last Resort", the last song on Eagles Hotel California.

He did. Kicked in the nuts.
Now we need to rely on people and businesses to be smart. No more “orders.”
That’s called liberty.

My brother agrees. He went to school in Boulder, and wants to leave the People’s Republic of Illinois, but because CO has gone so left, he’s looking at Idaho.

East side of the Black Hills area of South Dakota has probably the most tolerable winter climate in the state. Almost all of Wyoming has higher altitude so lengthens the winters, but if you lived in the higher terrain part of Colorado then you obviously are familiar with that climate. We visited Cody, Sheridan, Casper, and Cheyenne in WY. All were a bit too isolated-feeling for my wife. But we agreed it had many beautiful places - check out the Cody area just south of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir. We drove around there and if you love mountains, there are beautiful ranges on three sides. The photos of for this lot kinda give an idea:

We need the people to just rise and reopen. Grassroots civil disobedience and it needs to be widespread. They can’t put all of us in jail.

They can try.... but then they'd have to let you out because....wait for it.... of COVID-19.

Thanks Jim, I'll check it out. I lived in a suburb of Denver for over five years, but traveled a lot including flying up to Custer in the Tiger to see Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills. Love that area so could definitely live there. I know the Cheyenne area a bit also. I don't mind the winters and I am a skier, so ok with all that. Cheyenne is not too far from Fort Collins and even Denver and all that offers as well.

Way off topic, but we landed in Rapid City in 2019 on one of our wide ranging see-America tours, purely because I liked the code, KRAP. Also because they had reasonably priced fuel.
