So will all these new executive orders kill recreational flying? Will avgas become too expensive? Will all planes that burn low lead gas be banned? I think the last few years has seen an uptick of flying. Basicmed, stronger economy (prices of planes has gone up, and those on sale get sold faster) has nothing but helped us. Are those days over?

I don't think avgas will be banned, nor will any other carbon fuels be banned. They will just be taxed so heavily as to make it painful for the average Joe.

Yes his Presidency will impact GA very negatively. They want to also further hinder our ability to travel freely and you can't get much freer than GA.

Well, I ain't no average Joe. I might be called "Little", but I am more like Hoss.
-
Other consequences of xiden stealing the election will probably have negative impact on GA (economy tanking, taxes taxes taxes). xiden doesn't have to directly target GA to kill it.
-
Xiden did not provide a response to AOPA's candidate questionnaire this cycle.

I’m going to immediately put solar panels on my Navion. I wonder if solar panels come in the shape of stars and bars.

100LL is a "boutique" fuel made in small quantities. It's not a real money maker for the refineries.
We are about to see a slew of new regulations aimed at making exploration and production harder to discourage fossil fuels.
This last weekend I had a discussion with a friend of mine in the oil and gas industry. He's very happy right now as they are anticipating $68/barrel fuel by summer. That will put gas prices up over $3/gallon. I suspect you'll see 100LL to go about $2.50-$3/gallon increase over current prices.

I expect mo gas prices to rise by that amount in the coming year.

Regardless of the price of avgas, GA will be over for the common person but will still be around so the elite class (politicians and their corporate buddies) can still fly around privately so no, it won’t be the death of GA but it will be out of the reach of most of us as the middle class is destroyed and they start raiding our 401(k)s.

Well, this might be one thing that gets the airplane market to collapse...

Ya’ll can thank me since I just bought my Navion. My timing is always impeccable.
I also built a large home in 2008. I mean real estate ALWAYS GOES UP, so it was a no brainer. Or so I thought. Again, timing is everything.

I'm refinancing my mortgage on friday. After today, it makes me real happy to do it. I can't imagine how high rates are going to go in the next year.
