In his defense, I understand the “exhilaration” he claimed to feel upon first firing a gun. I felt much the same except I didn’t post exaggerated purple prose about it on social media. What I can’t forgive is his last phrase: being afraid that he could have taken one home that day. Heavy implication that anyone who takes one home is a danger to society and I find that highly offensive.

No one tell him that people can actually fly their own planes filled with aviation fuel (containing lead!!!) over schoolyards full of children.  The horror!!
