Some nice concise tables that include a number of over-the-counter treatments:

That’s a great collection of information but what does it mean? Do the green squares being on the left mean it works? What does the percent improvement column mean?

They state “Treatments with ≤3 studies with distinct authors or with <50 control events are shown in grey,” so I presume green just indicates favorable treatments with enough studies that exceed those thresholds and red indicates unfavorable treatments that also exceed those thresholds. In other words, greater confidence in the displayed good treatment results are shown in green while red indicates confidence the treatment does not work or is dangerous. For example, by their thresholds there is higher confidence that convalescent plasma does not work or is actually bad for the patient.
As best I can tell, the percentage (when green) is the amount by which risk of death is lowered relative to the untreated (or control) group. This cannot be greater than 100%.
When red, the percentage is the amount risk of death is increased relative to the untreated (or control) group. This can be indefinitely high.

Trying to treat COVID with Colchicine? Really? Colchicine disables the cells you need to fight off the infection! I used to take that stuff for my gout. Operative word being "used to". Between the side effects of Colchicine and the gout, I'll take the gout.

In addition to treating uric acid, it also reduces swelling and amyloid A, which is though to be a component of severe covid cases.
I'm sure doctors aren't just trying everything and seeing what sticks. There's a reason for each of these to be tried.

Are you saying there are FDA approved meds that don't work and cause more problems than what they are supposed to treat, and it should be a personal choice to use it?
