Notice how the dems and republicans join hands in an effort to get rid of the "undesirables" that invade their little kingdom? Look at how MTG, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, etc are treated and the republican party will not back or support them when needed.
McCarthy is positioning himself to be the next Speaker, and he is a protégé of Paul Ryan and John Boehner. So expect nothing to get done and backroom deals to be cut with the democrats. Business as usual.

If they don’t support Trump populism, I’m done with them, and calling the Jan 6 protesters terrorists isn’t supporting populism. Jan 6 was all about the disenfranchisement of the forgotten man. Ted Cruz doesn’t seem to get that.

We need Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young to do something like "Ohio" for the Jan 6 protest. Kent State where the National Guard opened up on protesters. Here the Capitol Police opened up on a peaceful protester.

Their current strategy is to try to pass a law that declares Trump was part of an insurrection. Unfortunately for them, that would be a Bill of Attainder under Article 2, section 9 and Congress is prohibited from that because it was an abusive practice in England.
