It was taxiing down taxiway A1, and so we had to remove cones from the threshold of 18 so he could get through to take off. That's a 150 foot wide runway, and I was removing the cones from the west half of that threshold. I ended up being about 10 yards off the runway when he fired up the afterburners. So 75 ft + 30 feet or call it 100 feet from the engines. My ear plugs were...inadequate. I could feel my heart and lungs vibrate in my chest. It was friggin' awesome. Painful but awesome.

I don't really see Trump getting to the magic number. And in a contested convention, I cannot fathom that Trump would win under any circumstances. But then again, I can't fathom Cruz winning either. And Ryan has pretty much ruled himself out.

A contested convention assures a RNC loss in November. Middle class voters already feel disenfranchised from the process and a contested convention with a nominee being selected and the public being told "Sorry bout that folks, but it's our party, and that's our rules, so you just get out there and vote for this guy because we know what's best for you!". It won't fly and about 30%+ will sit out the election in November.
The RNC should have been working to get the party unified and get behind the front runner, and most importantly support him. Instead the far right ideologues have taken over and are willing to burn the house down to get their way. All of their talk of inclusion and expanding the voter base has been meaningless pandering, when push came to shove the real RNC revealed themselves.
To your question. If it does go contested I don't think we know who they will inject as the candidate. I don't think Paul Ryan is out, he wants the party begging him to come to the rescue. In the current state of affairs I wouldn't even put it past them to bring out Jeb Bush.

Since your guy Cruz has flamed out his campaign and now has no path to the nomination, you and the other ideologues are now clinging to this contested convention hope in order to get your guy nominated. Like I said earlier, the GOP ideologues are prepared to burn down the party to get their way.
If the RNC does not get their act together, and soon, the pathway for a democrat win this November is wide open. The RNC has made a huge mess of this years nomination process, thanks in part to Rience Priebus. The factions of the party, the ideologues, the Cruz supporters, the Trump supporters and the Kasich supporters need to figure out a simple, simple problem: "United we stand, divided we fall".

It would be useful if you could at least, in some small way, attempt to stay on topic. Again, all you want to do is keep deflecting.
Come back when you can actually contribute to the conversation. I realize in your ideological world that you feel you must control the subject and the conversation, but at least make an attempt to be considerate of others and make a gesture of inclusion ( I know, in your world inclusion is a dirty word, but give it a try).

The utter delusion of Trump and his sycophants that think a "plurality" is equal to a "majority" is stunningly stupid. Likewise for anyone ridiculing "the rules" as if "stupid" rules like the majority requirement was invented just recently at RNC headquarters instead of in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1856.

The difference is that Trump and his sycophants want a coronation, complete with crown and bouquet of flowers, before the first round of voting happens, due solely to their "belief" that Trump should "get" the nomination when he gets to Cleveland, because he has the most votes.

That's not how this works, and has never worked.
What people are responding to is Trump exposing the primary process and people are learning that in some states going to the polls and voting for a candidate does not necessarily equate to their candidate getting delegates. Today, Pennsylvania will be one of those states.

But as to your point, what would Trump have done? Does he want the RNC, whom Trump calls corrupt and incompetent and too powerful, to now FORCE states to select their delegates the way that HE wants?
Which is it? He can't have it both ways.
