I’m one or two chapters in. Fascinating. He has a huge dataset of knowledge but I’m not sure his conclusions are correct.
He has a YouTube channel that has interesting content but uses clickbate titles and that turns me off, subtracts from his credibility.
But his warnings about the looming population collapse are spot on. He predicts short term catastrophe but long term things will result in decentralized economies and it will end up a good thing. We will have to go back to doing our own manufacturing. Trump began the process. In the interview he said SURPRISE Biden is continuing the policies Trump began (when it comes to foreign economic policy). And they will become so entrenched that it won’t matter who is president.
Beck didn’t agree on much of it, for example, Zeihan doesn’t believe China is a military threat. It is far more a threat that China’s manufacturing economy is on the verge of collapse and we don’t have a replacement structure in place. It’s not that Zeihan doesn’t know China has nukes, and he does admit they might try to start a war, but ultimately they won’t win it, and in the long, long run, the U.S. WILL come out on top. We are just too well positioned geographically not to. We have well established trade with Mexico and Canada and are buffered from the rest of the world by two oceans.
Oh, he thinks the WEF are a bunch of idiots that can’t do much and Beck totally disagreed with that.
The interview is well worth listening to if it’s up somewhere.
