I watched a lot of the footage over and over, from different cameras, as it happened, before, during and after she was shot, and here is my take on it.
Counter to most of you here, I don’t judge Officer Byrd for the shoot. I can’t know what was in his mind. But I can put together my observations.
Fact confirmed by the FBI and leftist reporters themselves: There were Antifa members among the crowd. Good luck finding any public admission of that from the FBI now, but one or more of the Antifa members were in fact among those arrested and it was disclosed at the time as well as admitted by at least one leftist “reporter” who was present when Ashli was shot.
Fact on the video: Men with batons were smashing the glass barriers.
My conclusion based on the above and on other observations about how they were dressed and who was and was not carrying any kind of weapon: Those smashing the barriers were Antifa plants.
The actual Trump supporters of which Ashli Babbitt was one were enthusiastic about proceeding but were not initiating the property destruction. However when openings were made Ashli made the unfortunate choice to be the first to come through.
Officer Byrd was to the left, where Antifa plants were still pounding on the barrier. He had been charged with keeping the protesters from passing that point. He was alone and facing dozens of people just on the other side some of whom were trying to physically breach the barrier with weapons. When Ashli came through he panicked and saw it as the start of a wave of several others about to come, some of whom were armed with police batons (the Antifa plants).
It’s been pretty much proven by the tapes released that the Trump supporters were unarmed and peaceful but the tapes showing the Antifa plants not being peaceful are surely among that not yet released and likely never to be. The streams that I watched on the day it happened have probably been scrubbed off the internet.
The establishment does not want us to know the extent of the leftist plants among the protesters and that they were the ones (possibly including FBI plants) who were leading the aggressive aspects of the surge. One of the videos I watched had several Trump supporters who had identified Antifa members trying to stop the Antifa from smashing windows on the outside of the Capitol. Not that it was even necessary as the police were politely ushering protesters inside.
I view Officer Byrd as possibly another victim of the establishment/leftist cooperative operation to create an incident they could use to turn the peaceful protest into an “insurrection” they could use against Trump, and against his supporters to instill fear in us by holding them prisoner in hellish conditions for years without due process.
I say possibly because like I said I don’t know what was in his mind when he fired. I reserve judgement.

It wasn't that long ago that a cop killed a NAKED man, standing on a fire escape, and suffering from delusions, holding a four foot light bulb. The fucking city claimed it was a righteous shoot because the asshole with the badge didn't want to get hit by a light bulb.
It was not an accident that the pathetic coward, michael byrd killed and unarmed protestor, rather than the rioting antifa scum.
