China has been teetering on collapse for a while now. Had the election of 2020 not been stolen, it would have already been over with for Ci and the CCP. FJB gave them breathing room.

I don't trust China any more than I trust the democrats. This could be a scheme to consolidate all banking in the central Chinese communist authority. These banks were ordered to collapse. No idea if this is true, but certainly a possibility.

I clicked on one of the links in the comments and got a paywall but was able to read enough to see that these banks were “absorbed” into bigger banks. They didn’t just vanish off the face of the earth which would be presumably total bankruptcy. So yes, I can well imagine the CCP just trying to get everything under their direct control. Essentially creating a single national bank as their goal.
It’s going that way here too by the way. How many local banks have been bought out by the few mega banks, and the feds now trying to lock down control over crypto currency, eventually requiring us all to use only digital so our every penny transaction can be tracked.

Because actual communists find out real quick that it doesn’t work. They move to a hybrid capitalism under their cultural control, which is, of course, fascism.
The Democrats went straight for the fascism but still hold the utopian dream of communism, which they’re too stupid to see that it obviously doesn’t work.

I think they know it doesn't work. It's just a seductive means to attain power and control.
