"Trump, as someone said recently, is actually worse than a liar. He's a bullsh**ter. Unfortunately, he's found there is a bullish market for bullsh** in America and no amount of reporting the truth is going to change that."

You have convinced me.
I'm going to vote for the Democrat. Or maybe just write in 'Gimp.
BTW, has anyone heard anything from 'Gimp lately?

Trump is a dealer...he makes deals. That what he does and anyone who thinks he has a princpled bone in his entire body needs to think again.
Come on, this can't be a shock. He makes his living making deals. His book from 30 years ago was titled "The Art of the Deal". He has said that everything is on the table and you're not going to believe the deals he makes.
So...if you think that he is actually dedicated to building that wall or keeping Muslims out then think again. These are bargaining chips to him. He will trade them in a heartbeat to get whatever he wants and I don't think he has been very forth coming on what his actual agenda is.

Maybe people will come around, but Trump supporters have so much emotionally invested in Trump the anti establishment savior, that I doubt they can be changed.

As long as they continue to ignore that he funded and bought influence from the very same establishment, of both parties, you're probably right.

I prefer the person that buys influence over the politicians that sell that influence.
Of course, I understand that some people don't see any difference, and some people think the buyer is worse. But I disagree with them.

As Trump said, he can be "flexible."

You say that like it's a bad thing? ;)

Only if you have principles.

Only if you have principles.
Or if you are a jackass.

And you are seeing why right wing ideologues can't win national elections. Rigid "my way or the highway" attitudes cloaked as "principles".

Or if you are a jackass.
Grow up.

Or if you are a jackass.
I should have said "self righteous" jackass.
-
Grow up.
Too late. I'm on the other side of that hill. Very little chance left for me to grow up. Lately, it has all been "grow out".

Well it's bad if you want reliability. Instability in government is generally bad for business. When owners and managers don't know what's coming they hold money rather than spend it. They don't hire, they don't train, they can't prepare because they have no idea what direction to prepare for.

Do you think that a government in paralysis that can't get anything done will be any better? I think we are at a point where our government HAS to start getting some things done (or undone). But paralysis from gridlock will keep us in the descent we are in.
-
I would rather have gridlock and paralysis than Obamacare.
-
Our government was designed to gridlock. It's an adversarial system with 3 branches given different powers. The design is brilliant and can only be f'd up by people not doing their job. That includes the electorate which needs to kick morons out.
