Title: Google and YouTube
Post by: Lucifer on July 25, 2024, 05:12:24 AM

So yesterday I went to a local hardware store and bought some pool shock.   No big deal, was out and needed some.

I didn't google it, didn't say anything near my phone, etc.    Today my YouTube feed is filled with videos about pool shock treatments.

The hardware store doesn't have an account with me, they don't have my email address.   Paid with a debit card.

So this tells me my bank is telling google where I'm shopping and what I'm buying.

I'd call their fraud department and demand a notice of privacy rights.

The tentacles are everywhere.   Every move and every purchase being watched and information sold.

No wonder they want a digital currency so bad.

Just for fun, lay your phone down while it’s asleep, and start talking about how you would like to buy a BMW M5.   Then watch the ad feeds when you go online. :(

I ordered some coffee from a place, created an account with them and gave them my business email.  Next day I got an email from them at my completely separate personal email.  I don't know how they got my other email.
