Looks photoshopped.

The people controlling the white house are going to start a war while kamel hair pretends to run for president.

The press will conveniently fail to notice and when it all goes to hell, they will blame President Trump.

You can make book on it.

Looks photoshopped.

That's not a C-17?  I'm just taking the word of the poster on X.  I don't vouch for its veracity.

That was my first thought.

Maybe Rush got caught by autocorrect.

Looks like the C-17 interior, but I doubt that even Marines get loaded in such a haphazard manner.

Wait....we're worrying about a photo while we are actually gearing up for war?

What's haphazard about this?

How in the world does the stewardess push her drink cart around in that?

It would make it easier to cop a feel as she squeezes by…

Just saying.

As a former Marine I have no doubts that they would pack them in like that. I can hear the NCO's yelling, "Nuts to butts! Squeeze it in!" Then sit there for 2 hours waiting for the pilots to even get there.

Marines, not Air Force.

I wonder what the loadmaster would say.

I would say if they’re using a C-17 to transport troops they’d have the web seats hooked up. I’ve never seen, nor rode on, any transport where you just plop down on the floor. But…it is the marines  ;D

Go Air Force!

hmmmm, I was under the impression that the loadmaster was in charge of, ya know, loading the cargo, even the slugs.

I know nothing. But it sounds to me like “load”master should know something about W&B re: airplanes.  But do a few human bodies make any difference in a plane that can carry, like, tanks?

A smart loadmaster, especially an Air Force one, will politely and tactfully work with the Marine in charge to get everybody settled in. If it was a Marine C-130, the loadmaster will kick your ass to get settled in.

“Settled in”, I keep thinking of Elaine on the stopped subway. I’d be so claustrophobic packed like that. Although it’s not much worse than flying economy commercial these days. Which makes me claustrophobic, not because I’m in an enclosed space but because of all the people. I hate people.

Doesn't the loadmaster generally have to board the aircraft they are responsible for loading? Literal skin-in-the-game? The loadmaster died in the Bagram crash of 2013 which was attributed to a shift in the cargo: https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/AccidentReports/Reports/AAR1501.pdf (https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/AccidentReports/Reports/AAR1501.pdf)

Talk about skin in the game. Whenever we land safely on a commercial flight, if I see the captain as I exit the plane I always say "Thank you for a safe flight," and then feel like an idiot because he must be thinking, "I didn't do it for you; I don't want to die myself."

Lol have to laugh as I told a passenger that once. Told her if I take care of me you’ll be fine!
