Another CR is looming, and expect the republicans to cave and give the dims everything (plus more) than they want.
The republicans could use the leverage to get election integrity and border security, as well as show the voters they are serious, but they won't. The dems will show their base they are in control.

So here's a video that seems unrelated at first but it's very related. First off: I dislike Cenk Uygur, and by "dislike" I mean I find him despicable, repulsive, an arrogant know-it-all, and I can barely stand to listen to him. I stop short of using the words "hate" and "loathe" because I generally reserve those terms for cockroaches. But I adore Lex Fridman so I endured the entire 4 plus hours of this video and I urge you all to also, if you are able.
It's quite educational. Cenk does have a wide grasp of the structure of what our system of government has become; an amalgam of what he calls "corporatism" and politicians, with legacy media enabling it all (being corporatists) whereby the whole system is run by money: Donations and kickbacks; the politicians get elected while promising whatever will get votes and then end up serving the interest of their donors. Both Democrats and Republicans. They attack and destroy any outsider who won't play along, like Bernie Sanders.
To your post: The Republicans will cave because they don't want election integrity and border security; they want whatever their money giving masters tell them, and those corporate donors right now want to destroy Trump (election tampering) and they want cheap labor (illegals) and globalism (keep the Uniparty in control).
Cenk is correct in his take on the existing political system and what would be ideal, which he claims is true capitalistic competition as opposed to corporate "capitalism" which means government enabled; the donations for allowing monopolies, subsidies,blah blah blah we all know what we're talking about here. Pay Big Pharma with taxpayer dollars to develop a vaccine and then force it on everyone "free" paid for by again, taxpayers, making drug companies billions and then politicians getting kickbacks from it, while FDA officials get positions on drug company boards, and that's just one industry. He goes into detail about mainstream (corporate) media and how deeply in bed they are with the Uniparty and he mentions Big Oil as another example, although I would counter with how the government is interfering with free market capitalism by subsidizing "green" energy which brings me to:
...how that would be all fine and good if Cenk knew a thing about economics. After saying all that, he then supports minimum wages. He wants Medicare for all. He apparently has never heard of Thomas Sowell. I believe he did say Kamala's price cap on rent and/or food would be a bad idea but says she'd never do it, because again, they promise what will get votes and then in office, do what Big Business tells them, and I guess Blackrock wouldn't let them cap rent, or whatever.
The good news is if he's right about that maybe a Harris presidency won't be that different from any other in that respect (not even sure Trump fully understands Economics 101, but he's a fuck ton better than Kammie).
The bad news is Cenk is convinced Trump is the Anti-Christ, and will get us into all out nuclear holocaust. He's a wild card, crazy, we must stop him at all costs. (Ignoring or apparently ignorant of, the fact that it is Trump's very craziness that stops Putin, Kim whatshisface, Hamas, etc. from popping off.) Cenk is absolutely BLIND to how dangerously inept Kamala would be in foreign diplomacy. OMG are you fucking kidding??
So many months ago, way before the debate disaster, Cenk saw that there was no way for Biden to win in November. So he decided to go on a crusade to get Biden to step down, traveled all around talking to whoever he had to get people on board with that. I don't know whether or how much it was his meddling that brought it about, but it happened, and now he is satisfied, thinking Harris has a much better chance to beat Trump. So why isn't that election interference?
