His main idea is to reject populism? He is totally missing the point. When you have principled Democrats abandoning the Democrat Party and joining Trump, they are NOT becoming establishment Republicans. That’s telling you something. The intersection of MAGA and old school Democrats is a crystal clear signal that The People are fed up with what both parties have become. He thinks he’s going to stop that populist movement?
The old GOP is dead or so cucked they might as well be, and the new Dems have set us on a course to outright tyranny. This is no longer a fight for “conservatism” which according to Pence is globalism plus an abortion ban. It’s right there in the first paragraph, that’s all it is!
No, it’s a fight by the people against a massive out of control oligarchy, and threats to national identity and national security. That’s neither a right nor left issue, it’s like Reagan said in one of his famous speeches: “You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream -- the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order --or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism.”
What could be more prescient than that? Pence needs to get with the program.
