In another episode of, "liberals are stupid," the pathetic, progressive cheerleaders at politico have published a story so stupid, even I was surprised.
It seems that useless parasitic federal employees know that their freeloading off the taxpayers careers will be under the knife once President Trump
retakes the White House in a few weeks.
Their terrible journalism is rife with anger, spite, and serious stupid, but entertaining because of its idiocy.
The pandering and sob story-telling is so sickening, it could have been authored by a beta male, desperately wishing to be a woman.
As these poor, pathetic, weakminded, parasites ponder actually getting a real job and having to produce something of value, wouldn't nearly as stupid, if the working people in America weren't financially strapped by the moronic policies of pedophile joe, and kneepads kamelhair for the last four years.
The prospect of a Trump return is shaping how one Interior employee and their spouse — another federal worker — are handling their finances.
“We have stopped doing any money-spending things because what if we’re without jobs in the next year?” the Interior employee said. “We need all the savings we can get.”
That couple has put off buying a new car and paying for needed home repairs, that person said. “We’re both feeling the heaviness of this right now.”
That employee and others interviewed for this story spoke to POLITICO’s E&E News on condition of anonymity because they feared retaliation if a Trump administration takes over in January.
“They’re so vindictive, I can see them going back through E&E News articles and saying, ‘You’re fired,’” the Interior employee said.

Cackles McKneepads is folding, the message is no more and people are sick and tired of the democrat communist. Even Barry is not swaying them.
So now we will have 2 and a half weeks of fear mongering. It's all they have left.

And abortion, how women are completely oppressed because Trump will put a nationwide stop to killing unborn babies. (A lie, he will leave it with the states.)

I don't know where or why people keep saying the right will ban abortions nationwide. The Supreme Court already ruled it a state issue. It's almost as if the left lacks critical thinking.

It's all they have. Every single election year issue goes against them. Plus, the low information types don't know and don't care that abortion is not a federal issue and is a state's right.
In Texas Colin Allred is running against Ted Cruz. Allred's entire campaign is based on abortion. In ads he claims "Cruz's Abortion Ban" in Texas and how it hurts women. Yet Ted Cruz has no way to create Texas state laws. And Texas does not have an "abortion ban". But the low information types believe it.

Speaking of the Supreme Court, we went to see "Average Joe" last night. I did not realize how monumental his Supreme court decision was for the country and religious freedom.

It's not President Trump's call. The court ruling puts abortion at the state level... where it constitutionally belongs.

Exactly. Except I think they are thinking in terms of Executive Order, which has been increasingly abused and perhaps they think THEY should try it to legalize abortion nationally by EO so they are projecting as always, to the other side: They want us to believe Trump will declare himself dictator for life and ban abortion by EO.
Some people are so stupid they think this could actually happen.

NEVER accuse a liberal of being aware of the facts.
Facts are racist to a liberal... especially academic liberals.
They hold themselves above everyone else, while babbling non-stop bullshit and expecting people to fall for it because they feel so special, and deserving.

I think that abortion can indeed be federally decided. It can be put into federal law by an act of congress (not courts, not administration). RvW was decided by the court, and RBG said at the time it was a very bad decision. This unconstitutional bad decision was overturned and properly put down to the states to decide by their laws. Congress can pass a nationwide ban, or a nationwide "it's OK" law that supersedes state law, but no congresscritter would dare bring up a bill one way or the other as it would be career suicide. But this bill has to originate in congress.
So with a republican majority in the house and the senate who pass a ban bill, and a republican president who would sign it, a nationwide abortion ban can become law.
At least that's my understanding. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

All Republicans running in Ohio are planning nationwide abortion bans too, according to the politcal ads.

While possible as you mentioned in the process above, not probable.
The large portion of republicans are RINO's, so they will side with the communist in stopping an abortion ban. Trump (if elected) wouldn't sign on as he sees this as a state's right issue.
On the other hand, if the communist bring up a bill making abortion a federal right, those RINO's will support, and again a President Trump wouldn't sign stating it's a state right. And the communist wouldn't gain enough votes to over ride a veto.
Other than non stop campaign pandering, abortion is a non issue. The party (DNC) that claims we have a declining population and need illegal border jumpers is the same party that has promoted the murder of millions via abortion.
Democrats are indeed a death cult.

Yep. Low information types (democrat base) will believe it absent of fact.

Agreed. I would put it as extremely unlikely that there would ever be a nationwide abortion law one way or the other. Just too many strong opinions on each side, and too many "but what about" to cover in a law. The federal government is content to get the issue out of sight and out of mind. Except when it's needed to scare voters.
I might see a constitutional amendment put forth as the states do decide those. But again it's extremely unlikely.

Also agree it could happen but is unlikely.
As for the claim of declining population so we need immigrants (illegal ones specifically and preferably not white ones from Northern Europe and definitely no Jews) but also the world is overpopulated because muh climate change so we need to kill babies, preferably white babies (even though a large proportion of abortions are by blacks) because whitey bad (unless you’re a trans, in fact we should all go trans and sterilize ourselves) and so on and on and on…
The cognitive dissonance is mind boggling with these delusional, racist and mentally sick neo Marxist idiots.

IANAL (but I probably know more about constitutional law that people in the media - which of couse is a VERY low bar -no pun)
I think it would need to be an amendment, rather than just a law.
-
Yes, but part of that amendment process would be repealing the 10th. Not gonna happen.
-
So would this fall under the same line of thought as murder? There is no federal law against murder so it falls to the states to prosecute. The feds get around this by "depriving someone of their civil liberties" or somewhat. There can be no federal law against murder (or abortion) as the 10th and 14th drive those decisions to the states?
Not a constitutional lawyer or scholar, but wanting to know more about the issue.

Overturning Roe V Wade didn't affect abortions, as explained in this pro-life article:
Abortions hit highest number in over a decade after fall of Roe v. Wade (https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2024/03/22/abortion-post-dobbs-guttmacher-institute-study-247561)
I fully expect a more concerted effort for a nation-wide ban on abortion if Trump wins because the actual goal was not achieved with the overturning of RvW. I know a number of you are against abortion but I suspect a ban wont happen. Even in red states the right to abortion is, more often than not, being affirmed when put to a popular vote.
In South Dakota we have an amendment to the state constitution on the November ballot that would replace the current ban on abortion. One poll found it supported by a majority (And SD is a red state): https://southdakotasearchlight.com/2024/10/09/abortion-south-dakota-ballot-question-amendment-g-right-to-life-defense-fund/ (https://southdakotasearchlight.com/2024/10/09/abortion-south-dakota-ballot-question-amendment-g-right-to-life-defense-fund/)
(I would think that a woman not wanting to have a baby would opt to abort as soon as she learned she was pregnant - not wait weeks or months. Probably why late-term abortions are rare.)

(I would think that a woman not wanting to have a baby would opt to abort as soon as she learned she was pregnant - not wait weeks or months. Probably why late-term abortions are rare.)
I don’t pretend to know for sure but I highly suspect late term abortions of healthy fetuses for mere convenience or “mental health of the mother” reasons are extremely rare, if they happen at all. What does happen frequently, in relative terms, are where the baby has a defect either incompatible with life outside the womb, or if survivable would mean a very poor quality of life involving suffering.
It frustrates me that this nuance is rarely ever sorted out by either side in the media or political debates, interviews, or ads. Both sides misinform. The right implies you’re murdering a perfectly normal, healthy child every time a late term abortion occurs, and the left just says we want the right to abort all the way up to the ninth month, period end of story.
My position is that to abort a healthy third trimester baby should be treated the same as murder: a crime. Unless continuing the pregnancy would kill the mother - then it’s self defense - but this would only be an issue where you lack the medical technology to sustain a premature baby. A common example of this is eclampsia, a deadly to the mother (and hence the baby too) condition. The only cure is to terminate the pregnancy but if she is in the third trimester they can deliver the baby and keep it alive in the neonatal ICU.
But in the case of a severely deformed baby where for whatever reason you have not detected the deformity until the third trimester, I believe the government should stay the hell out of it. These are wanted children and emotionally devastating to the parents, regardless of how they decide to handle the situation. The woman should not be forced to deliver a child who for example, never fully developed lungs; bound to die anyway, just to have the child gasp and struggle for breath for minutes or hours before succumbing. Yes you can sedate it so that it isn’t aware of suffering but can we know that for sure? And the poor parents have to watch the process? Maybe some want to do that, at least get to hold the child alive for a while. Others do not. I don’t know what I’d want in that case, I’ve fortunately never had to face it. But I do know that I would want that choice to be only between myself, my husband and the doctor, not the damn government.
So when considering whether late term abortion should be legal, I cannot come down on a side because neither the right nor the left will freaking discern this very critical difference!
